Hi, Normally this problem stems from changes/addition of the hardware or software and Windows was not properly configured. Since as you posted "tried...safe modes...last ...normally" then perhaps it is something else. Might I suggest that you try clean and re-seat your memories. To do this, with the laptop powered down, invert and look at the bottom cover/panel. There should be a lid/cover roughly 3X3in. with 1 or 2 very small screws. Upon removal, there should be 1 or 2 memory strips. To remove, slightly bend the 2 retaining clips at each end away from the memory, this should free the memory and slightly pop out. You can now remove and proceed to clean the little gold contact pins at the bottom. It might also be a good idea to clean the mating slots (where it goes). A good cleaner is a pencil eraser and for the slots, an old dry toothbrush. An old dry/clean paint brush may also can in handy. If this does not solve the problem, you may have to use your recovery CD or do a clean/fresh install of your OS. The worst possible scenario is a defective hard drive which again is relatively easy to replace. Hope this be of some help. Post back how things turned up or should you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.
