Your heater element went (the metal rod that heats up inside oven). can easily find replacement and not hard to do but make sure you shut off power/ unplug oven. usually a couple of screws where the element goes into back of oven to hold it in place. then can pull element out enough to see the screws that attatch the wires the the element. most appliance repair shops carry them in stock. may be easier to take old one in to match up then trying to locate the make model and seriel number you would need wuthout it.

On these older ovens ther is usually always 120 volts on the elements at all times.
If you check across the element ends with it in bake you should read 240V. If not, there is a problem with the control. With the voltage drop you describe, it sounds like you are losing power on one line of voltage coming to the element.
Post back to let me know what you find out or if you have any questions.
SOURCE: Bake element does not heat
After removing the racks, rack rails and the back plate I removed the 2 screws the hold the bake element. Lifting the front of the bake element up and carefully pulling the element out and gently moving the element so the connector clear the hole I was able to disconnect the wire. After testing for continuity with an ohm meter (non found) I determined the element need to be replaced. $37 and 45 minutes total.

The control switch may be bad on it. If there are 2 elements on the top, they both are not bad at the same time.Check to see if the wires have not burned off the control switch first. Check to see if your breakers are O.K. Turn them both(maybe 3) off and then reset.

hi, we have had the same problem. You can order the element from many places online, the cheapest is about £25 ranging up to £60 from neff themselves. Fitting it is ok the hardest part is getting the fan off to change the actual element. However, be warned, we are now on our 4th element and it just went again last night. Neff deny that this is a known fault that the elements keep going. However, at least 10 of our neighbours have had the same problem with their oven too!

I replaced the relay board for the top oven (the one with the transformer) and it works properly now. My issue was only for the top oven so you probably have to replace both relay boards since both ovens have only the top element working.
318022002 is the part number for the relay board with transformer
318022001 is the part number for the relay board without transformer
Yes the one without the transformer is more expensive for some reason.
The boards are on the top of the oven, I was able to pull out the oven about 75% of the way out of the cabinet and easily get to the boards. Just unplugged the connections and plugged them into the new board.
To get the oven out there are two small screws that go into brackets inside the top oven door. Highly recommend taking the doors off the oven to pull it out, much easier to work with.
NOTE: On my old board I noticed one solder joint that was burned out and I since I already had the new board I just replaced but you might want to check that first and see if just a solder fix gets you working again before you spend $$ on a new board.

i replaced the element and it did the same thing immediately, there was very mild heat coming from the element but not anywhere close to what it should have been.
