In order to connect external speakers to your DP32670 television, which has only RCA audio and digital audio outputs, you will have to either:

• Use speakers that were designed to accept an RCA audio input
• Use a separate home theater receiver connected via either RCA audio or Digital audio

rca jacks are a low level output. you have to use an amplifier with rca's. you cannoy hook rca's directly to speakers.

In order for this to work, you will need an external amplifier. Your receiver is set up to use a "powered" sub. With only speaker connections on the sub, it is a "passive" sub requiring a separate amp.

What method are you using to connect to the monitor?

If you are using the HDMI -> DVI adapter it does not support sound. HDMI does, but DVI does not.

If that's the way you are set up then all you need to do is use the HDMI -> DVI adapter for your video and use the regular RCA connections for audio.

You can set the video and audio settings in the PS3 with the "Display Settings" and "Sounds Settings"

That way you just use the red and white RCA ends to connect to a speaker system, the yellow won't be in use at all.
