This usually happens when the frequency range of the monitor can not handle the refresh rate provided by the system. Did you tried to change the resolution or the refresh rate frequency of the system ? If yes then you have to revert the change. In case you are unable to make the change from with in the OS as message pops-up at the start-up i suggest attach an other screen and choose a lower resolution afterwards you can attach the same screen and hopefully the issue will be resolved.

LG Flatron l1515s which is giving Out of Range 64.0kHz / 60Hz and can not even give setup menu. Please help.

This is not a setting on your monitor. It is a setting on your operating system. The display settings needs to be set to a 60Hz refresh rate.

Hook up your old monitor and right click on desktop --> properties --> and then to display and advanced settings. You can then set it to proper refresh rate and plug the new monitor in.

I feel my ASUS monitor is bright to my eyes. I checked and found the frequency of the monitor is 60Hz. I want increase the frequency of my monitor. How can I do it? I want to my eyes feel comfortable for...

On nearly all LCD monitors the frequency cannot be raised above 60 Hz. This is due to the way LCDs are displayed, which is very different than CRT monitors (on a CRT, you can select a range of refresh rates)

How can I fix an "Out of Range" display?

It means that your display card settings are too high for your monitor. Boot your system into safe mode (press F9 as it boots up) and set the display settings lower. Right mouse button click on an empty space on your desktop and go to properties. Then settings->advanced->Monitor and you should be able to adjust the vertical frequency down to 60hz or 72hz. If you get the out of range message on boot up then you will need to try out a different screen on your system, boot into Windows, change the settings and then plug in your original monitor.

Inout signal out of range Answer Failed: retry

It shows out of range because the PC is sending out the video signal that is higher than the monitor can display, you need to set the PC video resolution to the native resolution: 1024 x 768 @60Hz. You can reboot the PC into save mode (hitting F8 key while booting up) then set the resolution to 640 x 480 (try 1024 x 768 if it allows you to do so), reboot and reset the resoltion to 1024 x 768 @60Hz.

Showing message out of range

Your monitor settings within windows are set too high for the monitor to display... When computer first boots.. be ready and press the F8 key...
Enter safe mode.. Reset the display properties in control panel to 800 by 600 for a start. Setting the resolution too high past the monitors ability will give you that message.. Most monitors are able to display 1024 by 768 just fine.. Out of range.. means the display settings within windows are out of the monitors range of ability to display the screen resolution you have set... Good luck!!

Monitor out of range

What Hz is it giving you? If it is less that 60Hz, you need to go into the monitor setup and raise the frequency up to 60Hz minimum. If it is higher than 75Hz, lower it to 60Hz.
