The little messages envelope is flashing but there are no messages..what does that mean and how do I clear it?

Envelope usually indicated a text message. Usually, if you have unread text messages your little envelope will have a number one or number two, etc in red on it.

You will need to go to your text message icon to open your text message screen.. It might be called *Inbox* but it's not email only text or SMS messages.

check it at inbox message, if there are any closed envelope picture this mean that message is unread

it means your message inbox or your message memory is full...delete your messages

If you've just put your SIM card in your Nokia 5800, you may have noticed a flashing envelope icon at the top of the screen.
This icon indicates that the SIM card's own text message storage is full. This doesn't actually cause problems on the 5800 because it stores its messages in the phone's own memory, but the envelope can look a bit annoying.
To get rid of the flashing envelope:

1. On the standby screen press the white menu button.

2. Select "Messaging"

3. Select "Options"

4. Select "SIM Messages"

5. Delete some or all of the messages from the SIM messages folder using the Options menu.

This should make the flashing envelope go away. You only have to do this once because when the SIM card is emptied it won't fill any more, as the 5800 does not store messages on SIM cards.

If you call your service provider, they should be able to clear it, provided all messages have been read and you don't have any voicemail waiting to be heard. They can send a "0" count through their switch (processor) to your device which will in turn clear your message waiting indicator.

A: The envelope means that you have received unanswered calls in the Caller ID Call Log. To remove the Envelope press the "CALLER" button to review the missed call telephone numbers by scrolling with the ARROW buttons

I had this. Very frustrating. I have the manual in French but it doesn't say how to fix this. The solution I found was very simple. Just press the message button on the handset rather than playing with the base. The button that has a little envelope on it!!

flashing envelope means your msg in SIM ARCHIVE is full.
wap sign means you postpone the dowloading of wap session sent toyou.

Well it happens with me to sometime message is diverted back from network causes this try to delete any existing message may solve this problem something

It is probabily because u have unread or old Messages stored in the SIM card.
