I have alot of CyberDome ll cameras (probably 30) on my system. They are getting older ~ 6-7 years and some are losing color. They still have great picture but when I cycle power to them they have color then lose it shortly after. Most have smoked domes on them but even when I change them to clear the problem will crop up again after awhile and not go away. They usually start with intermittent color loss then lose it completely. Does anyone know what I should be looking for - when I put them on the bench they work fine. Grrrrrrrrrr! Thanks ahead of time.

Most likely capacitors failing on the camera process board. They can also cause no picture, dark picture and sync loss. I use freeze spray to try to make the symptoms happen and heat to bring try to isolate it to an area. It's not so easy to change the capacitors if you do find which one (s) though.

Sounds like the bulb shorted, which is very common, and the first time it blew the fuse.

It sounds like when you put the new fuse in and tried it again, the bulb was still shorted, and this time it damaged the board.

We see (and repair) thisa lot. The problem is on the control panel, whichwe regularly repair nationwide by mail for $39.95 postpaid in about aweek.

Atour Web site, we have a videoavailable showing how to remove a typicalover the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

This light failure oftenoccurs when a bulb goes out and the filamentshorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without firstunplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such afailure on the controller.

This can often alsoaffect the exhaust fan operation, too. The lights and fan can beinoperable or stuck on too.

Details of our serviceand critical safety information and disassembly information is at oursite, and our link is at ourlisting hereon FixYa.

Feel free to contact me directly (and please remind me of yourfull model number) for more information & help.

Clean well the inside of the oven, if you keep having the problem and the inside is clean, then the magnetron is starting to go.

Do older tv's lose their color and sharpness 50" toshiba or is it the cable reception that is dark & grainy.

If we are speaking of a CRT, sure, a rear projection device, yes the bulb and mirror system picks of dirt, moisture, smoke, nicotine and the lot. If this is a new flat screen, yes the rear or back light system does lose its ability to produce a pleasant picture.

VIZIO 42in LCD HDTV - Dark colors and flickering

It sounds that the back-light CCFL lamp is faulty. It is time to replace it. When replacing, do it to all CCFLs, because, the life time to these lams are expiring now, as the set is nearly 4 years old. Check this link http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ to get more details about how to replace the CCFLs. Pull up older posts there. Some among it have details.

Contrast really dark but seems to improve after the tv has been on several hours

Hi:
You may have a problem with the inverters in the unit, they are responsible for lighting up the back panel. Check or have checked the power supply voltage to the inverters, should be around 18-24 volts DC. Also leaky capacitors on the power supply will cause this issue as well as leaky or puffy capacitors on the inverter.

Im trying to control a cyberdome select 18x . i get control from the dvr software but when i zoom in it zooms all the way in and wont zoom out.it pans and tilts fine. is there a reset and i need a dip...

Have you tried the dipswitch located by the UTP output? You should switch 3 & 4 to off if the signal needs to loop to other devices and switch them to on if this is the only device on the data signal bus or the last in a chain of devices on the bus. dipswitches 1 & 2 aren't used.

I have an older AipTek DZO-V5T. Great camera. However I have a Mac computer. When I firs purchased he camera I could not down load any of the video or photos to the computer. I called your tech support...

At one time I had an Aip Tek DV 3100 and Windows and Linux found the camera as a basic mass storage device. I needed to switch it from camera mode to either usb mode or preview mode to get it to work with the computer. I have to do this with my new Cannon also. You should find some option for this in the cameras menu probably under settings. Also see if it asks you whether you want to mount the camera as a camera or by USB when it is linked to the computer.

System battery failure with AC power on

Your system uses the battery as a backup in the event of an AC power failure. This battery is constantly being trickle charged by the system. However, just like a car battery, each year as the battery gets older it also loses some of its capacity to maintain the system during a power outage. Normally after 4-5 years the battery needs to be replaced. In addition to your system keeping the battery charged it also monitors the battery's charging capacity. When the system fails to maintain a suitable charge the system will indicate a "low battery". It is probably time to replace your battery. You can normally find a replacement by going to a battery warehouse retailer in your town. Hope this helps you.

If the pink & white pics are a small percentage of your photos you should probably just live with it. I have 6 cameras in operation for 2 yrs & they have about 10% like this. Great pics otherwise. Probably caused by the angle of the sun or reflection of the flash off a nearby object.
