Hi Lisa
I found this about getting rid of the "disp" setting.
If you want to the colour bias, tap DISP while you have the White Balance selection active. Tap it again to remove it, making sure that you have the White balance active.

Hope this helps

Only settings display on lcd no image

Hi,
This will either be the setting on the DISP button (back of camera) or a failure of the CCD (image processor). If the pressing of the DISP button does not restore the picture then it will be a CCD failure. The CCD failure was a common fault with the Canon A cameras and Canon repaired these free of charge up until a couple of years ago. This can be replaced by a Canon repair centre, however it will be costly. Hope this helps.

Silent mode on fugifilm x-M1 digital camera not working

For silent mode the manual says o page 84: In the Setup Menu Options: Select ON to disable the speaker, flash, and illuminator in situations in which camera sounds or lights may be unwelcome (note that silent mode can not be enabled or disabled during movie playback). Silent mode can also be turned on or off using the DISP/BACK button as described on page 4.
Perhaps you try this one?

My i836 Polaroid is in German, how do I get it in English?

Press the M button (just above and slightly left of the cursor pad). Use cursor-left/right to select the wrench-and-hammer icon and press the SET/DISP button in the center of the cursor pad. Use cursor-up/down to select the fifth item in the menu and press SET/DISP.

My screen is black except in movie and easy mode. I can hear it click for these 2 settings but not the others. I can take pictures in the other modes and they seem OK. Thanks.

Your camera is fine. You just accidentally pressed the DISP or DISPLAY button on the back of your camera. This turns the screen on or off in picture taking mode to save battery power. With the screen off, you would instead use the optical viewfinder in its place. To turn the screen back on, just press the DISP button one more time while the camera is turned on.

Screen went black

Think that you might have accidentally pressed the DISP or DISPLAY button on the back of your camera. This manually turns the LCD display on and off to save batteries. You would then use the optical viewfinder in its place. To turn the screen back on, just press the DISP button one more time.

I have a Sony HDR-SR11 and the time/date stamp is on all my videos? How can I remove it? The simplest solution would be much appreciated.

I believe that you can select the DISP button on the left side of the camera to make the date and time display disappear from the viewscreen on the camera. I do not know if this will remove it from the footage that you will need to download to your PC or DVD. If you have downloaded it already you may need to select the DISP (for display) button and then re-download the movie footage.

A black line on the top and bottom

In your Recording Menu, check that the Disp. Overlay is turned Off. The lines are showing the portion of your image that will be cropped if you print a 4 x 6 photo (3:2 Guide).
