My digital camara fell down...well now when i take pictures it come out dark or purplish...is it the lens and how could i fix this problem. with out buying a new one
I have a DSC T1 and the same thing. Suddenly the screen is dark indoors and the pictures are pink tinged when they show up at all. Was intermittent at first, now it is all the time. Could this be the same CCD issue? Even with flash the pictures are very dark and discolored.
THE CCD IS THE IMAGER THAT PICKS UP LIGHT FOR PHOTOS IT IS AT THE END OF LENS ASSEMBLY INSIDE CAMERA .THE CCD IS THE IMAGER THAT PICKS UP LIGHT FOR PHOTOS IT IS AT THE END OF LENS ASSEMBLY INSIDE CAMERA .

but good news is all brands are doing this free of charge repairs sony, fuji, canon , olympus all, some models have service advisories issuedand some are not noticed as all do not complain so u can get itrepaired free even if u are out of warranty and even if ur camera isnot on service advisory list tell them abt BAD CCD and they willunderstand and take ur repairs free of charge do not accept any chargesfor repairs as it is the manufacturing fault of CCD units tell them uknow about it !
pls dont waste time see the service centre in ur area and email or give them a call see the link below for support in ur area
contacted sony and they said they are having same issues with many sony dsc-t1 cameras and they are fixing it for free. just have to pay shipping cost and they repair it for free. something internaly I guess.
Sounds like you have two problems, both which mean bad news. The clicking could be a broken gear in the lens unit or off track lens. The colors may be caused from a bad ccd or sensor internally.
Use bit more force to push or pull the lens as lens has been damaged. If applying bit more force lens goes to working, u saved $$$ otherwise, new lens option is always available at Sony repair shops.

It is a bad ccd it need to be replaced some time you can get lucky by resetting the camera in the setup menu. When you take a picture the image is transmitted throught the ccd and translates the image to the camerasmemory. It can be fixed. Or you can upgraded. Some places might offer a trade in value on your camera even if it is broke.
