So my Xbox 360 wont connect to my controller I've tried using the synchronize buttons on both the controller and the xbox but they will not connect. When I use the synrchonize buttons both the lights on the console and the controller do the spinning thing to show there searching and then they both act like they've connected but then the console goes back to showing that no controller is connected while the controller goes back to showing its not conncted to a console by blinking a solid circle. I have tried unplugging all the cords plus the harddrive and then plugging everthing back in but no luck. But this is the weird part I can turn on my Xbox console by holding the Xbox button on the top of the controller down but when the Xbox turns on it dosn't connect the controller. So yea any help will be appreciated thank you.

I did buy a new battery that also came with the battery charger that you hook up to the Xbox 360. The new battery did nothing and the charger cable didn't connect the controller to the Xbox 360 either.I did buy a new battery that also came with the battery charger that you hook up to the Xbox 360. It sounds like your new controller needs to be "sync'ed" (synchronized) to your console so that the console recognizes the controller. Turn on console with controller. Then press sync button on front of controller (small button) and then within 20 seconds press little sync button on front of controller (not the top, its the forward part facing console, little button)
1 Disconnect all accessories and wired controllers from the Xbox 360. 2 Hold the "Guide" button down for three seconds on any wireless controllers, then respond to the prompt on your television screen to disconnect the controllers from your system.3 turn on the wireless headset by pressing the "Power" button in the center of the earpiece. 4 Press the "Connect" button on the front of your Xbox 360 system. 5 Press the "Connect" button on the wireless headset. The ring of lights around the power button of the Xbox 360 system should spin and blink once. One of the lights should remain lit up, indicating the port number that the headset is using. If you do not see any lights on the system, you may have a faulty wireless headset.6 Press the "Guide" button on your wireless controller to reconnect the controller to the Xbox 360 system. If you are using a wired controller, you can plug it back into the system.7 Press the "Connect" button on the top of your wireless controller to sync the controller with your system. You should see the connection light around the "Guide" button on the controller light up, indicating which port you are connected to. You should also see a corresponding port light in the ring around the power button of your Xbox 360 system 8 Press the "Connect" button on the wireless headset until the port light on the headset matches the light on the controller and Xbox 360 system. For example, if you are the first player, the light for port number one should be lit up on the Xbox system, the controller and the headset. When all lights correspond, your headset should be properly connected.

Hi there,
You likely need to resync your Xbox 360 controller to the console. You should see a small button on the top of the controller near the battery cover. There's also a button on your 360. When you press that, the 360 will start to flash. Once it does, press the button on your controller to sync it.
if you have some sort of cable with which you can connect your controller to your console, it is best you try use it. if you don't, here is what you would do. 1.switch off the console and all it's controllers. 2.differentiate between the two controllers.maybe tag them controller a and b 3.turn on the console again and switch on controller a first, wait and see if it synchronizes properly. 4.turn off controller a and switch on controller b and see if it synchronizes with your console properly. 5.if they both work separately, turn everything off and switch on again and try to use both controllers at the same time. 6.if it repeats the same thing, switch only one controller on and then when you turn on the other one, press the small button in front of the controller close to the right trigger button and also press a button that looks similar to it on the console. this should help you synchronize all the controllers.

If you have tried using the white sync button (on top of the controller) and the white sync button (in front of the 360) the RF module in the 360 needs to be replaced. It is a very simple process, take the 360 apart and 3 screws T9 are holding it in.

Maybe there is a fault with the batteries, thought of changing them?
