SOURCE: RV refrigerator works fine on AC power. Burns for 30 seconds on gas power then shuts off.

tap on the gas valve with a wrench, not too hard but not too light about 10 times, the valve is probably sticky from not being used,re-light and see what happens.

SOURCE: I have a Dometic RV fridge that wont get cold. it

It sounds like your cooling unit is going out. Here's a couple of things to check. Do you smell any ammonia when you open either one of the doors? When you look at the rear of the fridge, do you see anything that looks like rusty water that has run down any of the metal tubes and dried up? If the answer to either one of these is "yes", then youll need to start looking for a new fridge or replace the cooling unit on the one that you have.

SOURCE: Dometic rv fridge runs fine on elec, lights on gas

It is key that all control switches are in the correct position, depending on what power source you are using, gas, electric, etc. If the switches are not in the proper setting, the unit will not operate.

Here's the manual for your fridge that should be printed out for your use and reference (and reading enjoyment). It has all the info needed to operate and troubleshoot it.

Typically, when using any gas appliance with a pilot light, the sensor has to first be hot enough to trigger it to allow the safety gas shutoff to open and allow the gas to flow to the pilot/burner. Follow the instructions and you should be all set.

Our brand new Dometic ac unit or blower does not turn on. I flipped the breaker even though it wasn't tripped. The wires inside the inside the vent in the ceiling are all plugged in. What now?

It sounds like your Dometic unit is not getting power despite the breaker being on. Unless the Dometic unit has an internal fuse to check, I would get out a volt/ohm meter and check to see:
1. Is there power coming out of the breaker that goes to the ac unit?
2. Is there power at the terminals of the ac unit? (You can sometimes remove a ceiling cover to access the contacts on the on off switch.

Lastly is your RV hooked up to full power with two 110 volts on both legs beside the neutral and ground wire? If you are only feeding your RV with a standard 110 volt extension cord and using an adapter, that can mean half the circuits in your RV are energized while the other half 110 volt leg is not. You must energize the second leg by using a full 30 amp or 50 amp dual power cord.

RV's are funny. They require two 110 volt legs with a neutral and a ground. The two 110 volt legs are both of the same phase. There is no 220 volts between the two hot legs as they are in phase. A volt meter between the when hot would read zero volts, while each hot leg to neutral would read 110 volts.

Hope this helps.

Rm2807 rv refrigerator gas works but the a/c is not working

Check the 110 volt wire for flaws. Take a volt meter and check the recep that the fridge plugs into for power, should be 110 volts or so. +/- 10%. If you have power at the recep problem is in the fridge chord or circuit board fuse or circuit board. Also check the 110 volt breaker in the coach at the service panel.
