How do I set a password on a canon d1350 - Canon iR 2022 Printer

The imageClass D1350 should have a report button above the 3 in the number pad. This is to the left of the Energy Saver button. If you don't have that button, please check the model number. Once this button is pressed, you should see the header Report Settings. Select TX Report and set this option to ON.

The ink cartridge is defective is the most common cause here.

I can't understand people who make a password and forget it , KEEP a copy in a safe place, yes there is soft ware that can find passwords , and yes you will loose all information with a reset.

you can clear all passwords in service mode.
Procedure:
1) Selecting Service Mode
Press the Additionalfunctions
key, 2key, 8key, Additional functions
key sequentially

now choose #CLEAR and ALL press OK

Now the copier is on factory settings and without password.

Note: you need to enter user data and IP settings, because everything is cleared.

Enter 'Menu' and then '#' - this gets you into Service Mode.
you can reset settings individually, but you should know what you are doing....
For example should you need to clear the password, you can do so by cycling to the PASSWORD CLEAR option under 6.CLEAR DATA....
You can only find this out from Canon service by faxing them a copy of your purchase receipt.....!! Canon is crazy for making it so difficult and no doubt have lost mucho dinero from professional IT managers who choose other products in Enterprise settings....

try this : press * with head press the custom setting browse it you will find to activate dept code then you need to have dept code id then password for ex.dept code id -0001 password 9999 you need to enter this two info to open the copy functions hope this will help
