answer:
the VSS can only be in 2 spots.
under hood, (there is one other exception)
1: on the axle near (pinion ring gear), to measure speed.
2: on some cars the ABS wheel sensors.
In case 2 , the ABS knows speed and simply tells the PCM speeds at all times and in turn PCM sends speed data to the CLuster.
there are tens of thousands of owners manuals for everything for sale cheap on eBay. i think any swift year 2003 on will be about the same. also take a look in the downloads area on the suzuki website. google "suzuki".
A search on ebay on 10-29-09 for suzuki swift door handle reveals 54 of them for sale. if you can post a problem here, you have the wherewithal to find the part there.
Hey what? should be pretty much the same on any car.
There will be one bolt on it for locking the tensioner bolt. Loosen that. Then you can unwind the tensioner bolt.. you'll see it moving towards the motor as you undo it... that slackens the belt off so you can remove the belt.
After that, you can either undo the bracket from the block (obvious when you look) or undo the bolts from the bracket to the alternator.
Look this is a tough issue please rate it at least a helpful, here it is, you may have a worn rail in the gear box shifter parts, many times these loose parts will allow the trans to get into the wrong gear or try to go into 2 gears at once, replace the shifter parts inside the trans and I will bet the issue goes away.
