These horizontal lines are vertical flyback lines and would indicate
one or more of the tubes cathode drive circuits are defective.
As the picture is predominantly yellow this would indicate excessive drive to red and green guns. Check the red and green video output stages especialy any clamping diodes.regards from Vintie

I would look for a Vertical circuit failure. Most likely is the vertical output IC and or open resistor off the hv transformer. Definitely look for any loose solder connections around the Vertical output IC.
Hope this helps,

friend maybe your LCD was broken or loose. try to pull gently if it return to normal image.

hello my fellow electronics tech. it seems that you know something about electronics. i would check the color transistors on the circuit board on the back of the crt neck. i believe it is supposed to be around 5v per transistor. one way to be sure is to match voltages with the other two amps and see if the green has no voltage. you then make a resistance check. make sure all power is off and the voltage has been drained from the set. check the caps by the color ic also with an esr, or use your ohmmeter.test your color ic for correct voltages that could cause erratic color problems. thank you very much and please rate my solution
