Motorola Mobility MOTOROKR S9 Wireless Headset for Bluetooth-Enabled Cell Phones - Black/Red Logo

I got a used MOTOROKR wireless headset. When I plug it into my MacBook, the light flashes green (I assume that means it's charging) for some time, then turns red. Then the light goes out and the device does nothing. If I hold the power button while it's plugged in, the light will flash blue instead of green. If I unplug the headset, it becomes unresponsive. My MacBook Pro can't find it to connect.

SOURCE: Headset will not turn on

hello to you, ahh yes the wonderful world of moto, it sounds to me like your not letting it charge long enough, when you start the charge it will go red, than after a bit it will go yellow and when fully charged it will go to a real dark green.( some times up to 3 hours, no!! im not kidding,) it amazes me how long it takes. step 2. when you want to put it in discover mode press the call button in till it turns solid purple than pull the mike down real quick and it should stay purple at this point you have 30 seconds to pair that puppy. good luck and you will get used to it. hope you only have one. i have seven.

SOURCE: H700 Motorola Bluetooth Headset

Make sure that any devices previously paired
with the headset are turned off. If the indicator
light is flashing in blue, turn off the other device,
then close and reopen the headset boom. The
indicator light becomes steadily lit in purple
indicating the headset is now in pairing mode.

SOURCE: H700 Motorola BT earpeice, no indicator lights aside from a green

Same thing happened to me. I call the support center and if you bought it from a 3rd party, it is probably a software problem. See if you can get a new one or buy it elsewhere.

SOURCE: Green light stays on....headset not turning on

I have had no trouble with mine (3+ months of good use) until today. Same problem you had - green light won't go out, unit won't turn on. Jonsumer's solution got me to thinking, and this worked for me:

1. plug the charger into the wall.
2. plug the headset into the charger.
3. unplug the headset from the wall.

Plugging & unplugging the headset to charger multiple times had NO effect. It was only when I plugged it into the charger and unplugged the charger from the wall that the green light turned off and the headset began to work normally.

Red blinking light

Hi, Ephraim. The flashing red light indicates that the device is showing "low battery". It could be that the LG phone charger fits the charging port on your bluetooth headset but it is not compatible with your device. In order for you to know that it is charging, the device should show a steady red light(means charging).
Please take a look at the table reference below.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
•With the Charger Plugged In

Slow blue flash ---------------------------Standby (not on a call)
Slow red flash ----------------------------Idle (not connected to phone)
Slow purple pulse -----------------------Connected call muted
Steady red ---------------------------------Attempting to connect

Note: After 20 minutes on a call or of inactivity, the light stops flashing to conserve power, but the headset remains on

Hope that'll help you in some way.

I need the manaul for this product. I do not know what the the flashing light mean, and I was given this product from another co-worker....but no one knows what the lights mean?

Hello, you can download the manual here: http://www.plantronics.com/us/media/media-resources/literature/user_guides/73156-01_CS55_US_DL.pdf?WT.dl=20 It says that a flashing amber light means charging, a solid amber light means charged, a solid red light means power, a solid green light means talking, and a blinking green light means muted.

On my motorokr s9 the green light just stay on even when I don't charge it is there a reset button or anything?

This is caused by a power surge. To correct, plug your headset into charge, and then plug into power strip. Trip the switch on the power strip to off. It will cause a drain and turn off your green light and then allow the headset to turn back on.

Plantronics cs50 head set with lifter has STATIC

Try a system reset:
1.  Lift the headset off of the charging cradle, but make sure the headset is turned off.  It will be off if the green light on the front of the base is not lit.  If it's not, push the call answer button once to turn it off.
2.  Push the call answer button and the mute button at the same time and hold them down.  The mute button is the black little wheel at the top of the headset.  Use the tip of your finger to push it straight down and hold it while holding the call answer button.  A green light on the headset will flash for 2 series of flashes.  Wait until the end of the second series then let go of both buttons.
3.  Put the headset back on the charging cradle and wait 30 seconds.  Lift it back up and try to use it.  If this doesn't work, repeat one more time and then disconnect the power from the base and plug it back in.

PL-CS55 headset lifts receiver but only get buzzing sound in

Try a system reset:
1. Lift the headset off of the charging cradle (the base).  Make sure the headset is turned off.  The green light on the base won't be on if the headset is turned off. 2. Hold down the call answer button on the headset at the same time as mute button.  The mute button is found on the little black wheel on the top of the headset.  Use the tip of your finger to push it straight in. 3. Hold both buttons until you see a green light on the headset flash.  It will be right below your thumb.  Hold both buttons until the green light flashes for a series of 2 flashes.  Then let go of both buttons. 4. Put the headset back on the charging cradle and wait 30 seconds.  Lift it back off and try again. 5. If this doesn't work repeat the process once more or try a resubscription.
Resubscription procedure:
1. Put the headset back onto the charging cradle.  Make sure the red light on the base is on and the yellow light is flashing. 2. On the back of the base there are two buttons for the microphone adjustment that can be pressed down.  Press both of those down until the red light and yellow light on the front of the base start flashing. 3. While the headset is still on the charging cradle press and hold the mute button until the red light on the base goes solid, and the yellow light stays flashing. 4. Unplug the power to the base and then plug it back in. 5. Wait 20 seconds and try.

Bluetooth ear piece

blinking red and green means the headset is in pairing mode and ready to be connected to your phone. This means it is either the first time you have paired the headset or you have depressed the volume +/- buttons simultaneously for more than 5 seconds. If your phone cannot find the headset, it may be a compatibility issue. Try pairing the headset with a friends phone, possibly a sony ericsson. Good luck.
