After a brief spark from plugging in my Oster beehive blender, It stopped working. Because there was no smell, I assumed the motor did not burn out and perhaps it is just the fuse. I took the bottom off of the blender and found the fuse burned out. I would like to replace the fuse but I do not know how to replace it. I can easily remove one end of the fuse assembly, but the other is attached to this piece which contains several other wires, and I do not know how to disassemble it properly.
Just wanted to FYI the link to abtec parts above for the fuse. I ordered one from them, use the blender once, and the fuse blew out again.
I just had the same problem too and ordered the fuse online with the link above. Thanks lele44!
The four feet on the bottom are easily removed with a 1/4" socket slipped inside the each rubber foot fitting.
I'm glad I found you. I saw some downright horrible reviews of my local Oster appliance service center here:

I have a 2-speed 500w professional series blender that looks like this:http://www.amazon.com/Oster-BPCT02-BA0-0...
Unfortunately, though the fuse assembly looks like the one linked by OP, one side of it is fastened into the motor coil, so it is not easily replaceable. I will try just cutting it off and reseal it with a new fuse.
Radio Shack was able to supply an in-line fuse holder (for ease of any future blown fuses), the 8A/205V slow blow fuse, a bag of micro crimps and some heat shrink to make everything look pretty. Stripping the short end of the wire from the old fuse to the motor was the only tricky part, aside from that a 30 min. project. Margaritas anybody?

No solution yet - still need help.
What is the link for ordering the fuse? I need ASAP. Made the mistake of putting power bar in the bottom with the ice, made short humm noise, then nothing. No smell, just no power, assume it's the fuse.
Please send link and any further help is also very appreciated.
thanks.

Please tell us where to buy the fuse. There is no link above, as stated in the posting up further.
http://abtecparts.com/sunbeam_blender_mi... Would someone please weigh in on if the available fuse will work on our blender? Or is it the one shown as no longer available? Any tips on where to find one? Thanks.
I got the same fuse that was in there to begin with (ordered it online) and it blew out again immediately when I turned on the blender. I'm about throw out blender if I don't find any other fixes fast.
Jeremy, please send me a link for where you got the fuse? I still can not get the correct one, and hope mine doesn't blow out again like yours did. I can not despite much searching find the proper fuse online, and can not get the links for the right one to work - says no longer available. thanks.

I have the same problem. Where did you buy the fuse from?
I'm currently dealing with the same problem. You'll notice that where the wire from the fuse goes into the switch, there's a bit of space. If you push the end of a tiny screwdriver in next to the wire, it should move the brass piece that holds the wire in place slightly and release the wire.

I was able to isolate the wire from which the fuse wire was attached. I purchased a new fuse and installed it. My blender works perfectly now. That $10 (fuse + s & h) fix saved me from purchasing a new blender!
Here's the website I used. I think it arrived in 7-10 days.

Please advise where the fuse is. If so, what tool(s) are required? The screws that hold the base are recessed within the rubber feet and look like little bolts. Is there a special tool to remove them? BTW my model is 4094 and has only been used a couple of dozen times. An ice cube became lodged in the blade during the first second of operation, the motor stopped and will not restart. There was no smell of burning or sparks.
I need a fuse assembly for an Oster 4256. It is slightly doffertnt from the one shown in the above link...the end with the connector has a long metal tab that slides into another connection. Anyone know where I can get one? Thanks
Miche11e - The fuse is most likely in the base of the blender. I removed the base of my blender with a medium cross point screw driver. Jam in into the middle of the rubber foot and turn counter clockwise.
