SOURCE: SHARP AR C250 Digital Color COPIER HAS SERVICE CODE H4 00

Press P-interrupt-C-interrupt and enter test command 14 and Execute to clear your error. Let your machine reboot. If it comes back you have a problem with your fuser. Most likely it's dirt or toner caked on your tempature sensors and they need to be scraped off.

SOURCE: H4 for Sharp Copier AL1551 CS

The H4 code indicates the system did not or is not warming up. It could be a thermostat or thermistor or a board problem or a heating lamp issue.
It requires service.
Check the fuser unit for any debris or excessive build up especially around the thermistors - if you can remove and open up the fuser unit !

SOURCE: Sharp AR-M160 H4 error code

Clearing a trouble code on a AR-M160 is a little different than the AR160.

Try "#" "interrupt" "clear" "interupt" "1" "4" "start key"

This should clear the error. Even if you replace the fusion unit you will need this code to clear the error

SOURCE: I have a sharp copier, model AR-285, H4-01

H4 error pertains to lamp errors.

that would either be the copy lamp or the heater lamp.

check both lamps.

with heater lamps,it's usually caused by either a broken heater lamp or a dirty thermostat on the heater roller assembly.

H5 is a fuser jamed 3 times in a row. Make sure jams are removed and fuser is not blocked( may be a fuser pawl stuck in the up position) After you clear jam you need to reset code try recycling power if this dosn't work you need the sim code Not quitesure on this model to get into sim's may be P-*-C-* or # * C * or # * interrupt * when you get into sim mode use sim 14 exe to clear code.

H 4 code flashing

The H4 code indicates the fuser may have blown the thermistor. It also could be a false error code. Try this series to clear the error and if it returns, then you'll know for sure the fuser is the culprit. To reset press the following buttons:
  1. Press this sequence: CLR-Exposure-CLR-Exposure
  2. The display will go blank
  3. enter "14", press "PRNT"
  4. Press "CLR" several times to exit.
Give that a try and good luck.

Showing h4

If your machine is AR-5316,
The problem is in the fusing unit try these steps:

STEP1: Press continuously CLEAR then INTERRUPT then ZERO then INTERRUPT

STEP2: The panel display will turn off it means that you are inside the simulation if not repeat again step1.

STEP3.Then type 14 then press the print button

If these steps doesn't work you must call an authorized serviceman to check your machine, maybe something is busted on the fusing unit like thermostat or fusing lamp.
