You need to use more hot water. It's the hot water that disolves the softener.

Washer can't remove the soap , and have to wash the clothes handly to clean soap

Remove the soap build up between the wash tub and the outer basin with a fridge or dryer lint brush. The soap accumulates and builds up between the two tubs. Clean it after a recent load of laundry so it has a chance to soften up. Make sure the washer is unplugged when you clean this area.
Use Borax and half the amount of soap in future wash loads to prevent this build up.

We have a pin trap problem. The outer cover comes off exposing a plastic white facing that will not budge. There is constantly a rotten egg smell coming form the washing machine. I've drained the hose...

Here's How:
  1. Exterior
Wipe down the exterior of the washing machine with vinegar or your favorite all-purpose cleaner.

  2. Tub
Pour two cups of vinegar or lemon juice into the tub, and run the washing machine through a complete cycle on the hottest setting to remove odors, stains and detergent build up.

  3. Lid/Door
Scrub around the edge of the lid/door with vinegar to remove mildew and detergent build up.

  4. Bleach and Fabric Softener Dispensers
Remove the bleach and fabric softener dispensers, and scrub them in the sink. Then, dry them thoroughly and return them to the machine.

Tips:
  1. To prevent mildewing, leave the lid open after you finish a load to allow the washing machine to dry out.
  2. Commerical fabric softeners leave build up in the machine. of choice, and the inside of your washing machine won't need to be cleaned as frequently - if at all.

How do i get the detergent/fab. softener tray clean? It wont drain because of the softener build-up.

Softener is a combination of wax, transport solution, and perfume.
What clogs up the dispenser is the wax.

Try pouring very hot water (close to boiling) down the path that the softener takes to get to the tub. This will melt the wax build up and wash it out.

You will need to do this multiple times to get all the wax melted.
Don't use water so hot that it melts the plastic parts.

If this helps you, please select YES to one of the first two ratings questions. Thank you, and Good Luck.

Floods floor on startup. Pump not leaking. What

The tub was off center and the fill water was splashing over the rim. This happened because I had removed the pump to oil the seal. The washer sets all summer in 110 degree weather and very callcifeid water. Last fall on start up the seal was siezed to the shaft because of calcium build up. I was able to recenter the tub by pulling it the opposite way. Hopes this helps someone along the way.

Washer is leaving dirty spots on clothes

If you use fabric softener it may be from the softener. Dilute your softener 50% before pouring it in.

LG WM0642HW smells bad. We leave the door open when not in use to dry it out and air it out. But the smelliness is getting worse.

There have been lot's of reports of moldy door seals. Check your door seal at the bottom to see if it is holding water and not draining properly. Dry and clean with a bleach solution is it is. Front loaders don't always drain completely. WHen you start a new cycle the first thing they do is purge any water left from the previous one. This also causes a mold issue. Easiest solution is to do a stain cycle with presoak and add 2 cups of bleach to kill the mold. Obviously no clothes! Good luck!

Fabric softener is left in bottom of drum after wash cycle completes

We had the same problem. You have to remove the part that the softener goes in and clean it. You will be amazed at how much build up is in there. That solved the problem for us.

Fabric softner build up in recepticle, and black mold forming

The build up is always going to be there as long as your using softener. The way to beat this is 1.add the softener directly into the tub before last rinse.2.Dillute it with water.3.Stop using softener and this cant ever occur./// The fabric softeners brand may make a difference, try another brand .If its watered down its less sticky.
