Re: blue tooth adapter and hs850 headset on my computer
Yes, you need the blue tooth driver. The one that comes with your blue tooth "toggle".
Although my laptop said "blue tooth compatible" I still needed a toggle. They are fairly cheap to buy and go into a USB port.

You can buy a bluetooth usb adapter and make your pc bluetooth enabled. I bought an I/o gear blue tooth adapter for $ 2.58 and it allows me to pair up my headset to my pc and I can go up to 500 ft away and hear perfectly.
All you need are 2.0 usb ports (high speed)
the adapter can cost up to $ 20 but it works and boy is it worth it!
Hi, yes you can use plantronics 230 blue tooth for your blackberry phone. All you would need to do is to pair the device with your phone.that will do.
How to pair a phone to a blue tooth device?
Pair Your Blackberry with a Blue-tooth Headset
Turn on Blue-tooth headset and Blackberry hand-held.
Enable the Blue-tooth radio by going to the options window and clicking on Blue-tooth. Click on Enable Blue-tooth in that window.
Add your Blue-tooth headset to your Blackberry by clicking on Add Device in the Blue-tooth window.
Find and select the name of your Blue-tooth headset from the list that appears. The Blackberry will search for all Blue-tooth devices within range, so other devices might show up on the list.
Click Activate Blue-tooth device if you receive a call and the Blue-tooth headset does not pick up automatically.
Use your Blue-tooth Headset with your Blackberry
Make sure the Blue-tooth radio on your Blackberry is turned on before you try to use your Blue-tooth headset.
Use the voice-dial feature to call contacts if your headset has that capability. Not all headsets support voice dialing, but more of the newer models do.
Press the on/off button on your headset to end a call or use the end button on the hand held.
Tips & Warnings
Pair your Blackberry with any Blue-tooth-enabled device using the same steps as those for connecting a Blue-tooth headset.
Remove your Blue-tooth headset from the list of paired devices on your Blackberry by selecting and clicking on Delete Device in the Bluetooth window.
Configure your Blackberry to connect to a paired Bluetooth headset without asking for authorization in the Bluetooth Device Properties window. That will allow your headset to automatically reconnect even if you take it out of range temporarily.
Only configure a Bluetooth headset to your Blackberry once. Once you configure the pairing between the two devices, the settings are saved and you do not have to repeat the processes each time you use it.
Turn off the Bluetooth radio on your Blackberry when not in use for security reasons.
Adjust volume on your headset or hand-held to a comfortable level. Excess volume from in-the-ear headsets can cause hearing damage.
you need to go to audio device setings and switch the input and output devices to 8860 hen push your triangle button and selec the connect option but make sure your blue tooth is flashing red and blue first. i hope this helps cause i just went through the same thing and this is what i had to do!!!
start in the off position press and hold the talk button and you will hear a tone continue to hold for another 7 seconds (10 seconds total) then the light should be flashing blue then red it is now in discovery mode now take the divice you are trying to pair it with and do a search for blue tooth devices. once it is found you may need a password it is 0000 as is the default password for all blue tooth devices hope this helps.
iPhone does not support Bluetooth to transfer data between iPhones or computers, the only usage for Bluetooth for Syncing the iPhone with Bluetooth headset, so its not an error only you need to connect it with Bluetooth headset, by searching for headset and set the passkey to authnticate the phone with the headset
