Mitsubishi VS50609 has cobwebs behind the ribbed screen and I need to know how to remove the ribbed screen, I already removed the clear cover smooth cover. Sandy

set should have the clear screen cover (protective) and two more screens behind that. Easy way is to unplug set and remove back cover--cobwebs are usually behind on inner screen.

With the back off I use a swiffer like duster and reach up and get them all out--gently on the inside of the inner screen so you do not scratch or mar it.

If this helped you rate this solution as I do this here for free.

Removing the protective screen on our Pioneer SD-532HD5

Pop the bottom front cover off (that is over the speakers) first. This will expose 2 brackets that hold the moulding around the screen in place. Un-screw the brackets enough so you can get the moulding off and take it off. Once the moulding off you will see the brackets that hold the actual screen in place. Loosen these brackets and VERY carefully remove the screen (it will wobble and bend so I would recommend 2 people do this). Lay the screen down on a soft surface that will not scratch it. Clean and re-install screen, tighten brackets, re-install moulding, tighten brackets and pop the speaker cover back on.

Cobweb?

You'll need to have the frame of the tv either opened so you can reach in there or the top mirror block assy will need to be removed to get inside to the screens. You may want to have a Sony ASC do this type of repair. Call Sony for a referral.

PIONEER SD-T50W1 VERTICAL PROBLEM

Usually, when a picture collapses some but not all the way, it indicates that an electrolytic capacitor has gone bad in the verrtical circuit. If the top of the picture shrinks, suspect the pump-up capacitor, but if the bottom shrinks then the coupling cap is probably going bad. This is quite an easy thing to correct, so have a qualified tech service the set.

Picture on my rear projection TV

Your set will one day soon not come on at all. theres several capacitors on the PIP board if your set has PIP or the capacitors in the power supply. A good tech should know where to check as this set some say is hard to work on but i quess its like anything you work on for a bit gets easyer. Call an authorized repair center for pioneer. Good Luck
