Replaced 20A fuse - now have blinking lights
either the cutoff is open circuit or closed circuit if you get any reading at all it is good. I would look at the control panel look for overheating components. Tap any relays to release them if they arced inside. Whenever a microwave blows a fuse it is time to replace the huge capacitor at the back and possibly the magnetron. I resurrected my Sharp R9H66 Microwave Convection Oven easily. Had to replace the magnetron twice in the last 5 years

Without more tests, I can't be completely positive but the turntable motor is the likely problem. That is part 1-4 on the list above. However, it could be a wiring problem with the wiring to the turntable motor.

I have a sharp carousel microwave. Model # R-1491. The problem I am having is it wont heat anything up. It turns on and acts like it is heating but it really isn't. I'm wondering if I need to...
1st check the temperature fuse ( item 1-3 on this diagram)
If fuse is good have the HV rectifier item 1-1 checked.
If both check out good the most likely problem after that is the magnatron item # 1-8

not sure what brand microwave you have as long as it is not a lg or a sharp microwave a good site to look at is apdepot.com they are a nationwide appliance parts company ... you should be able to type in your model number on this site and find a parts diagram and even prices.... good luck

We have a sharp r-9h84b convection microwave and the carosel has stopped working when the tray is in place. Any thoughts the carrosel seems to rotate very slowly when there is nothing on it.
It's almost certainly a bad turntable motor.

The part number was RMOTDA079WRE0 but it is listed as no longer available.

In some cases, older microwaves are available locally at repair shops or on Craig's List.

If you want to keep your eyes open, this same motor was used in the following Sharp models:
