My phone, only turns on when it's on charge, and never charges at all
and when i try and turn it on, it get's to the lg mobile screen, then makes a click sound and the screen goes blank

Hi m gen madale.i bought a lg m6100 phone in saudi arabia.since, i resigned and went home to my country, philippines, 8s no working anymore.i mean no power.the battery is charging when its plugged.some expertice told me that its has to be programmed.pls halp me

It happens sometimes. The bars that are shown are false. So you should check whether you really have the charge or not . just switch on the music player for two minutes and it will show you the original charge remaining on the icon.
please remove battery during charging is on and then remove charger and then re insert battery now try to switch it on . if still not work then reset your phone to solve issue
when this happens, does your phone have enough battery charge? because if it's not fully charged, as you switch it on, you will only see a white screen and then it will shut down. try charging it first with your cell phone is turned off. then after charging try to turn it on. if it does and you only see a white screen, the problem is the LCD. go to the LG dealer and have it reset. that wil surely solve your problem not unless you sat on your phone or you dropped and broke the LCD. hope this helps. thank you.
If you can go to LG Service Center the only solution in your problem is to update the software of your lg cookie. Because I have done it and its working good.
