No, that was wrong advice. On this model, there is a large door on the right side (as you face the screen) of the TV at the bottom. Remove several screws to take the cover off. Inside, looking along the back of the TV (not toward the screen), you'll see what looks like a wire bail (handle) on a square inset piece about 3 inches square. Remove the screws and pull on the wire bail and the lamp housing will come out with the lamp contained inside. Make sure you unplug the TV before doing any of this. If you are replacing the entire housing with a new lamp you can just plug in the new housing and replace the screws and cover. If you are placing a new bulb in the existing housing you take off 4 small screws and remove the metal cage from the housing, remove and replace the bulb the same way the original is in there, put it back together, and you're done.

WHERE IS FUSE LOCATED ON BIG SCREEN TV, REPLACED LAMP , STILL NO PITCURE BUT I HAVE A SOUND, STAYS ON A LITTLE WHILE AND KICKS BACK OFF

You must follow instructions very carefully when replacing the lamp. Chances are the door did not get shut tightly allowing an open circuit to the door switch and the fan. If the fan is not running you must go back and make sure the lamp installation is right. also, if you did not purchase an exact replacement lamp it may be defective. If the fan is running then the chance is for a bad lamp. Hope this helps.

My Panasonic multimedia projection tv -PT-61LCX65 needs a new lamp....where is the bulb located within the tv? How do I remove?

Hello, the lamp is located at the rear of the set. Unplug the tv before you start. There is a door secured by a screw, remove it to expose the lamp housing. There is a screw that secures the lamp, remove it, then you can gently grasp the handle and slowly pull it towards the rear of the set. To replace the lamp, gently slide the new lamp back in and secure it with the screw you pulled out. replace the lamp door cover, and replace the screw. plug the tv back in and turn it on, you should be fixed. Here's a link to a video on how to do it....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvF36pepCOI.....tks

Your lamp door is not secure. You may need to replaced the door if it warped. PN: X-2048-503-3. Also, you need to address the clogged lamp fan, it should be replaced. PN: 1-787-460-11.

Zenith E44W46LCD Lamp Access Door Location

I found the location to get at the lamp. If you are loking at the front of the TV there is a small panel at the bottom of the right end. Two screws, remove panel, two screws inside and a small handle that lifts so you can slide the unit out. 4 screws on top of the cage that the lamp sits in, carefully slide up the silver bracket holding the bulb, be careful the edges are sharp. Remove the bulb from bracket and remove the 2 cables attached to the bulb. Now just do the same but in reverse. Make sure you wear plastic gloves that should be provided because if your fingers touch the lense you could be out the price of the lamp.
