Changing language to english on DS lite

I have just bought a DS lite for my daughters birthday on ebay and it is all in Japanese I need it to be in English Help would be greatly appreciated

Hi.My kids have DS and my youngest always use to change the language!lucky my other kids have them too so i go by that!Ok,first,Turn on console,tap the screen and then tap the square down the bottm in the middle.four square come up so tap left square which is a wrench and then tap the lower left square which is a world symbol.tap on English up top left and then press "A" button or tap bottom right.hope you work it out! :)

Hi, turn on your ds lite. Very bottom middle of screen touch icon to get into settings, touch pink spanner icon, them the bottom left icon looks like a football. Touch english. Job done

Japanese to English Version

I am not sure if this will help or not but it is worth a try. Here is how to change the language. Hopefully there will be a option to choose English.


How to change the language:

  1. On the Nintendo DSi Menu, use the stylus to select the Settings ("wrench") icon.
  2. Select the right arrow thee times to go to page 4, then select "Language."
  3. Select from the options options on the screen:
    • English
    • Français (French)
    • Español (Spanish)
  4. Select OK (the bottom-right button) to confirm and return to the System Settings.
Note: Some games that feature multiple languages may display in the language you have selected in the system settings.

Ds lite to english

First, go to the Settings Menu (the small DS icon at the bottom in the main menu). Then click on the first, pink icon with a white wrench on it. Press the icon with the sphere-like shape on it. Finally, select the language you want. Press confirm and you're done!

CHANGE LANGUAGE

Go to the little DS icon under the GBA start icon. Press the little Wrench Settings icon.Then, click the Earth icon. Finally, choose the language you want out of English, Dutch, French, Spanish, Italian, and Japanese.

NINTENDO DS POWER UP PROBLEM

1. Turn it on with no cards.
2. after touching the screen once, press the icon in the bottom middle if the screen. (looks like a tiny ds)
3.press the pink wrench icon (assuming default colour scheme)
4. press the globe icon
5.press english so it is highlighted
6.press a
7. press b twice then a
8. Power up in English

Language

If it altered the selected language in the game too, there should be a option in the game where you should be able to change the language. In most games at start up there is usually a menu screen where you can select:" new game, options, continue,(it sometimes might vary)" Language settings (if any at all) are usually found in "game options."

Exactly what game is this problem on? I'm assuming that since your daughter changed the language, that she knows how to go back to the DS configuration settings to select the language. If that is the area of information that you did need though, You can post another comment here asking that.
