I have a konica minolta magicolor 4650, that someone set a password (not 12345678) on the PageScope Web Connection. Anyone know how to reset this password?

Logging in as an administratorSome of the settings available in PageScope Web Connection can only bechanged by an administrator.
These settings are only displayed when you login to the administrator mode.
Logging in to administrator mode
1 Enter the administrator password in the "Admin Password" box at theleft of the screen.
2 Click the [Login] button to log in to the administrator mode.
3 To log out, click the [Logout] button.
NoteThe default password for administrator mode is "sysadm".
Be sure to change the administrator password before using administrator mode.
If no operations are performed for 10 minutes, PageScope Web Connec-tion automatically logs out.
The machine cannot be used while you are logged in to PageScope WebConnection with administrator mode.
In addition, if the machine is being operated, the administrator cannot logon

If that's not it, someone has changed them and it will need to be reset through service mode.

Not remotely but You may dissable or change the Admin Password for the Control Panel on Magicolor 8650
(only locks access to the control panel of the printer ... it has NO effect on the PageScope Lite administration)

its in the admin mode. touch the utility counter button then admin. the password is either 00000000 or 12345678 unless it has been changed then you will find what you want... you can also go to pagescope by typing the ip address in your web brouser and then go to admin mode (same password) touch scan then there is your address book

This are the the information you need to setup scan to email and maybe you know how to access the web browser to setup the network. first you need to know the smtp host name or ip address, second you must create a valid email address for the copier. To access the web browser input the ip addrress and press enter click administrator and the password is 12345678 or 8 zeros. there are tab system info print, scan and network. click the the scan tab. choose scan to email first thing you will see enable scan to email smtp ip address or host name. enter the right smtp. witch this you can get to your mail server. do not change the port # and that is 25. Input administrator email address and the machine email address and turn on the authentication enter your user id and a password iof there is any.

first try to ping this address, to see that this pc finds printer. you have to check network settings for that pc
