Remote to opperate sky volume

I have just purchased a LG 42LH2000 Tv but can't seem to get my Sky Plus control to work the volume does anyone have a code to help

Did you drop the remote lately my dog loves the plastic and knarls and slobers on them. Go buy a cheap replacement and try it

ye people the code is 0206 . its not listed on sky inteactive .

Please follow the steps below with you Sky remote.

RED + SELECT (flashes twice)
TV
0056

Try the volume button if this works then press the SELECT button on the remote. If not press the TV button and try the volume again. repeat this step until the volume works the tv then remember to press the SELECT button to save the code to the remote.

If for any reason this does not work then what I would like you to do is take the battery cover off the remote. You will see a label on there stating what REV 4,6,8 it is. The numbers indicate how old the sky remote is. If your LG telly is a newer tv then you may need to purchase a newer Rev sky remote.

To use sky+ remote control with LG 42LH3000 you must have a rev ver8 remote controller.
The codes are stored in a database of the Sky remote. If the old codes don't work
you may need to buy the latest Sky remote. Otherwise it is a matter of waiting for the
new Sky remote which may have the updated codes.
Note: LG Support supplied the following for Rev.8: 0206, 1293, 1665, 1174, 1176, 1219, 1280, 0857, 0851.

Version 8: January 2006 (includes all current Sky+HD remote controls)

first of all I would like you to press the blue sky button on the top of your remote. Now press you tv guide button. If this has sorted it Great if not read on!!

what I am going to talk you through now is resetting your remote:

RED + SELECT (flashes twice)

now press the blue sky button at the top of your remote now try the tv guide button. this should work no problem now.

now to the small matter of tuning your remote back in to work your volume etc

please follow the steps below:

try the volume if this works then press SELECT to save the code. If not then press TV again then the volume. repeat this step until the volume works then press the SELECT button to save the code.

Right you said in your post that it only works part of the tv, what this is when you have saved the code into the remote it is very close but not the correct code for the LG Model you have. So imput the code as mentioned above but when your checking the volume dont press SELECT straight away try the help button. power button etc then save that code if it works them. when it is the correct code you should be able to press the TV button then power = power . Help = changes av / source. Number button change channels etc. On certain tv's on a sky + or hd the pause/play changes the aspect ration on the tv aswell. for sky plus remote ver 8 the code four number is 0206
the three number code is 206

If it is just not functioning for volume but do perform other functions then do open in there would be screws or can just be lock's clean the board and pad with cotton dipped into acetone if you don’t have acetone just use the dry cotton if it still doesn’t work change the remote
