So how do I change the fan motor, where exactly is it and how do I get at it?

This unit is a mini-fridge and about 1.3 years old. There is a clicking sound from the relay switch every 10-30 seconds apart.

DO you have a thermometer to check the temp in both sections? MY first guess at the temp problem is that the fan has quit OR the vent betwen the freezer and the fridge is blocked. I bet on the fan being bad. Open the fridge door and hold in the little switch that operates the light. YOu should hear a fan running . If not, then the fan is kaput.. JOhnno.

LG Refrigerator model LFC20740ST Freezer is fine, but Refrigerator is not cold.

Try adjusting the thermostat knob up a bit, it should be near the leds, maybe under a cover. Seveen years is not very old but where your health might be at risk from bacteria maybe you might be justified in looking at a new machine. I refuse to call in repair people any more, once something breaks it seems to become a habit, if electrical items cna be said to have habits.

Maybe a new thermostat /seitch might cure the problem

Freezer is cold but not keeping icecream frozen.

If, the fresh food section is 34- 38 degrees, then the freezer should be cold enough to keep ice cream solid. All of the cooling capability comes from the freezer section. I, personally, would not waste time or money on a ten year old box. Ten years ago it cost $1000, so, the outlay is $100 per year. Dump the old refrigerator and get a new one.

Refrigerator not cold/Freezer cold.

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through it. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp .

.
If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of cold air and eventually affect the freezer too.

Servis Fridge not cold enough

Hi ruthcart1,

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

Your problem is: You have a free standing fridge freezer from Servis (silver) and the fridge doesn't seem to be as cold as it should be. The freezer is absolutely fine just the fridge even though you have adjusted the thermometer inside.YouI've had it maybe 3/4 years.

You're still under warranty. Modification now voids the warranty. I would call warranty repair. This should be their headache not yours.
