Question about Hitachi 60EX01B 60" Rear Projection Television

No Power With the back off - just pluging it in, it soulds like it will come on.the green leds will light - after a few sec they all go bright then it shuts down - the protect LED starts to blink. the hot checks good,thank you for any help. if this was an ceronix or kortek monitor I would not be here (HA! HA!) Thank you

    Reseting (leaving the TV off for 3 min 2 days don't work -) it's something on the board cap or something that is connected to the board.
    thought nost of the sets would have common problems like I find in the casinos

Most likely, the little blue capacitor next to the horizontal output transistor has shorted and the main B+ fuse is open. This will cause the exact symptoms you are experiencing. This is very common on those Hitachi projection sets and is easily fixed. If you do not have experience locating and replacing bad parts in projection sets, have a qualified tech handle it for you.

Try to reset your monitor. Turn off, remove the power supply from the socket leave it for 30 mins and turn it on again.

Did you try a hard stop? Hold the power button down for five to ten secs until all functioning stops, wait five secs then try to power it back up? I'm no laptop expert, but that has helped me a few times here and there.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. I learned that some of the power to the led is being blocked by causing a larger resistant to the led which will cause it not to light up as bright. can that be fixed?
If you change any resistance values, you shorten the life of the LED

blinking red mean there is problem on one of the boards. it s a computer so it is stopping it to keep it from burning something up the 2-4 seconds is a system check.

Wiring info
Most Mobo's have printing next to the places that are jumpered or pluged into. The ones you need sould be close to the edge of the mobo, that is close to the front {power button} side.
