We have a new portable DVD player from Digital labs. Hardly used. It plays movies, put after about 5 minutes, the "loading" screens comes on and the movie starts from the beginning. The movie will play for about 5 minutes again, and again the "reload" screen comes on. This happens whether you are using the AC adapter, the battery pack or plugged into the car outlet. Digital Labs K725 Portable DVD player
I have a K715 that was having the same problem. The "line select" had been switched from "in" instead of "out". Once I switched it back to "out", the player worked normal.

I had the same problems from this product! PERSISTANCE is the key!!
I tried to call the tech support numbers that the other people here had suggested, all I got was a recording that wanted me to leave my info and theyd "contact me in "0 to 2 business days".
Sorry, Im quite impatient .... had to keep fiddling with it myself, till someone calls me back. Hell, if I break it, it was already broke, right? lol
THE SOLUTION is to clean the lense! I stuck one of those disc cleaner discs in and shortly after, it started working just fine. Mind you, Ive spent at least an hour popping disc after disc, in .... thinking it was a problem with HOW a DISC played/read. I truely believe the player just needs to be cleaned of dust.
I suggest giving the device to a responsible child in your household, to mess with/attempt this (as MY mother did). She got this Portable DVD Player for X-mas and when it arrived from Ebay, she waited 2 months before seeing if it even worked. She was quite disappointed to find that "it was ****" and shed waisted her money. She gave it to me to try and fix, with no luck. So she tried numerous times to toss it out .... me, being a pack rat, holding onto it for 7 months, found I had nothing else to do today, remembering I had this thing, decided to give it another try. About an hour of persistance, its working perfectly fine, like brand new.
PUT A DVD CLEANER DISC IN AND SEE IF THAT FIXES THE PROBLEM, continue to try and play discs a few more times. If not, Im sorry I couldnt help ... but I tried. AND I promise, this did it for me.
Good luck!

My wife & I have a model k725 that had failed to start. We tried re-charging the battery until the l.e.d. went from red to green, then started the unit. The player would only start for a moment, then the red indicator on the player would lite, and shut down. After recharging the battery for overnight again, I tried once more and "snapped" the movie down firmly. The unit has since played on demand, so I'm at a loss of what was happening. If you're looking for help, in the owner's manual is a tech hotline. Starlite Consumer Electronics, @ 800-321-5976 or 612-344-4700. Also www.griffininternational.com is listed as the distributor for the U.S. Best of luck with your player. Gene

I tried cleaning, recharging, plugging in, and unplugging. When the disc is loading (as this is all the machine will do), sometimes open flashes on the screen. Does this happen to anyone else? Perhaps this is why it keeps loading and slowing repeatedly. Anyone have any other ideas? Also, I went through a few numbers before getting the office I needed to deal with the problem. The number is 866-387-2027.

Response to Solution #4
You have listed Griffin International website as being a distributor for these DVD players. I work for this company and you have posted the wrong link, our company has nothing to do with these DVD players. I have received several calls about them and was trying to find where this was coming from. So the above link to Griffin International is in no way connected with Starlite DVD players.

Yea I had this problem where i kept putting my dvd into the player, and I kept getting a red light at the base and a blue screen. To fix it you hav to turn the line select from in to out

If it is plugged in, unplug it. If not, try plugging it in... It has worked for me before. Also, if its brand new, I'd look at your warranty.

I finally threw it out and bought a new one. It will not work, I took it in to be looked at, you are going to pay more to fix it then to get a new one.

Usually answered in minutes!
Movie never plays, it loads, then no disk found. BRAND NEW out of the BOX!! The DVD just keeps reloading and spinning and then STOP comes up when you click play. Then it just starts all over again! Any help?
I have the digital labs K725 model also and mine plays the movies but the car adaptor does not work at all. I even went to radioshack and got a new car adaptor and it still doesn't work! Something is wrong with the whole dvd player and it's impossible to contact the company that made it since I lost the intruction manuel. Do either of you still have the instruction manuel? If you do, can you look for a number to call on it and post on here what it is? Thanks.
Mine K725 Digital lab DVD player just keeps loading and then shuts down
I bought a K725 from someone at work for $50. They told me it worked, and blah blah. I played it, it worked. I looked at it and it seemed great and too good to be true. I took it home and it never worked again. I thought it was the AC adapter, so I bought another one, which I am going to take back tomorrow, the car adapter does not work, and its not even laoding the CD anymore. If I had know this I would have just bought a new one, but I do see that I should buy this brand anymore.Does anyone know any other things I should try or should I just trash it??
Don't know what to do, I put a movie in, it says loading then quits and nothing else. I have the line to out. Tryed putting it on in and i get a blue screen, but it to out and i get a screen that say DVD Video. Can you help me please, I have a 4 yr old that is expecting this to work? Thank You
