No picture, sound and flashing red power light...

Our Toshiba TP43H60 was working one evening. I got up the next morning, tried to turn it on and: We have a flashing red power light and no picture, no sound, nothing. It was working last night...any ideas? What I have read so far about these projection TVs makes me wonder if it is just a fuse; are these easy to change? What else would cause this? Thanking all in advance.

    We had no problems with it prior to this happening; it's a total mystery to us. It was, literally, working perfectly the night before then nothing when I tried to turn it on the next morning.

    I have a Toshiba projection tv. It was fine until I had cable connected to it. The very next day, the tv won't turn on and the power button just blinks a red light. Does anyone have any ideas whats wrong with it?

Pull off the back pressboard. At the bottom left hand corner is the power cord that attaches to the power supply board. There is a white plug that attaches directly to the power cord. With the TV power off, pull this white plug up to disconnect. Then push it back in. Then plug your TV back in and press the power button on the front of the TV. I just did this and it is working fine.

What type of problems you had before set went out? If color problems then maybe your convergence amps gone. If sound problems then look at the audio areas, If vertical then vertical output.

This may sound odd but try moving the remote further from the set. I have seen similar issue with my 42H81.

I have a TP43H60 toshiba and the power light continues to blink red and there is no picture or sound. I can't turn it off either unless I unplug it??

You have blown one of the pecos fuses, probably the f850 or f852, you can test them with the power unpluggrd and with an ohm meter. Replace them with only the recommended amps fuse. Your set is going into standby, because of the blown fuse.

Toshiba big screen tv. tp43h60

Good Day;

I would suspect the convergence IC's, to confirm this unplug the convergence yoke, all three. If TV comes on IC's are bad. Also, check the little green pico fuses. Good Luck, big IRISH.

If the set is a TP43H60 like the posting says it is I show it as a CRT based Projection. And this one does not have a lamp in it. So if you could verifiy the model number

You have a bad regulator IC or something in the seweep power supply is blow out. if you can read a schematic, i suggest you get one to troubleshoot the solid state circuits in this TV set. if you do not have any solid state repair experience or no electronic background, play it safe and call in a pro to assist you in the repair of this TV set. Good Luck.
