Check for a blown ceramic fuse behind the panel. If the fuse is dark in color it is probly bad. you can get one at radio shack store or on line

Where is the fuse for whirlpool microwave MH7140xfb-1 -

The support page for model MH7140XFB1 is here. Your exploded view with parts list is here.
There is a bulletin about door switch (interlock) support holders here.
It may or may not apply.

If a fuse is blown, it can blow for many reasons, and not every problem blows a fuse.

For disassembly info, you can watch the video at this site, or see these text files: http://www.microwavecontrol.com/safety.txt
http://www.microwavecontrol.com/disassembly.txt

Unfortunately, the door handle is not available separately. You would have to order the entire door assembly.

It is part number DE94-01381J and it runs $106.99 from Sears here. (prices subject to change)

Whirlpool model number MH7140XFB no longer heats

you either need a new h.v. capacitor or h.v. diode in the magnetron circuitry if you cant hear it cycle when it runs as in a low pitched hummmm when its drawing current to operate the magnetron tube, each part runs about $30 to $45 each, normally its the h.v. capacitor though

Light bulb not on and microwave not turning on. Was working fine in the am but went to warm something in the afternoon and the light wouldn't come on and didn't warm the coffee.

Hi,
Firstly check fuses in your microwave. You will have to take off the outer casing and check on the power circuit board to see if there are blown fuses.
Best wishes,

There is an internal fuse. The cause for it blowing will have to be determined.
