Opened door on cycle, will not continue cycle after closing door

it maybe something as simple as the door opening during the cycle - thus pausing the machine - this can happen when the machines with plastic tubs get hot - the top of the machine flexs a bit and the latch disengages and the machine stops. Next time it does it just try to push the door closed and hit start and see if it picks up where it left off. A stiffener is needed to repair the fault - but we have fixed with shims in a pinch - between the counter top and the dishwasher to minimize the flex

Latch needs adjustment or replacement.

The dishwasher will have a wiring harness which passes through one of the corners or in the centre of the door. I would suggest that the harness has perished or weakened and exposed a live wire which touches the cabinet when the door is opened and it shorts out. Opening and closing the door after many years of use weakens the wires where they get continually bent back and forth during door opening and closing. Ive seen wires rejoined but the only sure fix is the replace the wiring harness.

if the is an electronic unit it sounds like a burnt relay on the control board if the is the case the control will need to be replaced

Take the front kick panel off and see if anything under the machine is wet.

Open the door, look along the top stainless on the door and you should find the ENr number (model number) etched into the stainless, may need to give it a wipe and look at an angle to read it. Post the ENr and that should help with diagnosis.

the unit will try to complete the last command it was engage in before it went in the overfill safety mode. you must perform a cancel drain cycle to reset unit to default setting. Remember the drain cycle is 2 min and must be completed to reset main control. however if it went into a overfill status you have a leak and it generally comes from the pressure chamber on the lefthand side of unit where the water enters tub

twist a paperclip around some pliers so you have a circle opening. then hook the paperclip around the latch and pull outward with the pliers. once the latch is facing outwards the door should close again

I have a Bosch Dishwasher, SHU6805UC/U06, During a cycle it was interrupted by opening the door. It was left open for an hour. When the door was closed again the lights came on but the cycle did not continue. The motor did run but no water was rushing. Power interrupted to the machine did not enable it to reset or restart. How do we get it going again?
