Downloading Digimax Viewer 2.0

This program gets my pictures from my camera to my computer. I was using it yesterday when it stopped working. The desk icon was blank and after trying to find the software everywhere I decided to download it again. I got an error message that said I was missing a stwa.DLL file and it couldn't continue. What do I do to fix this problem? I am not real computer literate so you have to draw me a picture. Thanks for your help.

SOURCE: PC won't recognize camera as drive

I had the same problems downloading from my SD card reader to the computer. I suspect that the XP Wizard that automatically detects the removeable drive and pictures when you connect to the computer and the Samsung viewer software are conflicting with each other to do the same task. I removed the Samsung viewer software and the XP wizard now works fine.

SOURCE: I'm having trouble downloading photos to my computer with the software that came with my camera. ....

No need for you to install any CD software because your camera
will be recognized automatically as a removable disk when your computer has the following Operating Systems.

For transferring pictures with OS (Windows 98/XP/Vista/2000/MAC 9.2-10.3 ):
- Turn off camera
- Plug USB cable to camera and PC
- Turn on camera
- Connect to computer or printer will come out on camera screen
- Select the desired one
- Press MENU/OK
- "New Hardware Found" will be seen on the right lower corner
- A window will pop out with various options
- Example: "Open to View Files", "Copt to a folder"...

* If nothing like those mentioned above happened,

Double check through Computer Devices with Removable storage:
- Look for DCIM folder in any of the Removable storage
- Select 100sscam folder inside DCIM folder
- Upon opening, all pictures will be viewed

Just try to make sure that you'll be using the USB cable supplied
in the package and your PC does have good working USB ports.

you can get drivers from here:

http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/DIGIMAX%20S500

although if you're running windows 7, you should be able to goto the Computer icon, and it should display removable device drive (which should be your camera) And you should be able to copy the pictures from there to the hard drive

Nikon coolpix s80 stopped downloading pictures

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa or Nikon Transfer.

My camera stopped working after downloading pictures

I don't believe the usb cable had anything to do with it. That cable doesn't provide any power. Its a data line. If it did it would charge your battery for you at the same time.

Do you have a power cord for your camera for charging batteries with?

Innovage digital keychain viewer

The software doesn't use the "My Documents" shortcut, so it doesn't open in the "My Documents" directory in which "My Pictures" usually resides. The file browser opens, by default, to the program directory (C:\Program Files\Photo Viewer). Simply use the explorer tools to go "up" to C:\ (the root directory), then find the directory "My Documents" and within that "My Pictures"

PC won't recognize camera as drive

in order to make the corrupted card usable again, try to rename the directory, copy an original directory from a card that's ok. So, at least, the card can be read again by the camera (and re-formatted). Doesn't guarantee that the next pictures might be seen...
