Hi, I just bought a Frigidaire Affinity dryer (the 6000 series), and heard an odd sound. I went to check, and rather than the minutes showing on the screen, it looked like "A0" or "AD"? The bin was still spinning.
I HAVE A FRIGIDAIRE AFFINITY DRYER (AEQ6000CE32). WHENEVER I PUT THE CLOTHES IN IT JUST SPINS FOR 10 TO 15 MINUTES AND SHUTS OFF BEFORE THE ALLOTTED TIME. THERE IS NO HEAT IN THE DRYER. ANY SLOUTIONS?
According to the Frigidaire wiring diagram and codes list E68 means one of the keys ist stuck. You can enter function test mode and check
which button is at fault. http://www.frigidaire.com/product.aspx?productid=1787
MY Frigidaire Affinity Gas Dryer is giving me a code of E68, which is a button is stuck. But how do I unstuck it? I tried to wiggle it to free it, stick a screw driver between the button and the front case to free it. None of these things work. Is there a way to open the machine to fix the stuck button?
In the manual it says AD is the adjusting time according to moisture level for those who keep drying but display this it is normal for those who display and seize to dry is not normal and the E68 code says that there is a button jammed on your system either one is not functioning properly or it is wedged hope this was helpfull to all
E68. CLEAN THE LINT FILTER AND BASKET. UNPLUG UNIT. REMOVE 2 SCREWS INSIDE DRYER HOLDING BASKET. PARTIIALY REMOVE AS THE BASKET IS ATTACHED WITH TWO WIRES GOING TO A SENSOR. THESE WIRES ON MY UNIT WERE CAKED WITH LINT AS WAS THE REST OF THE UNDERSIDE OF BASKET. CLEAN WITH HAND OR VACUUM OR BLOW AND REASSMBLE. WORKED GREAT FOR ME.
I have a Dryer that was reading "AD" and I realised that I was working on the dryer area earlier that day and shut the gas off... So I might say that the "AD" is because there is not gas going to the dryer...

Based off the information you have provided, I understand that your Frigidaire dryer is displaying an "E52" code and the dryer will not start. Typically an "E52" code stands for motor fault, I would attempt to perform a reset on your appliance by disconnecting power for roughly ten minutes. After the reset if you are still receiving the error code I would recommend having a professional come out to diagnose and repair the appliance. Best of luck. -Matt
I see that you have a Frigidaire Affinity dryer and I'm presuming you are seeking information on how to clear error codes on your dryer. May I please have your model number? The serial tag, which lists your model number, is typically located on the upper front, as you open the door. With this information I can help pinpoint the exact problem. In the meantime, you can reset your dryer by either unplugging your dryer or flipping off the breaker for roughly ten minutes. This often clears most false error codes. Hope this helps!
Good Afternoon Friend, this is Z. Thank you for your post!
If you are receiving an error code E61 on your Frigidaire Affinity dryer, first check if it is a false error code by resetting the power to your appliance by either unplugging it or flipping off the breaker for about ten minutes. If the error code persists, it could potentially mean that your dryer is experiencing a failure with the heater relay. This is not a typical DIY job. I would recommend reaching out to an experienced appliance tech just to ensure no troubleshooting step has been missed. You can often locate a qualified service provider through the manufacturer website.
Frigidaire Affinity dryer model AEQ7000ESO error code E68 (stuck button). Sometimes a 'stuck button' code really is a stuck button. I took the circuit board off the front panel. On the back side of the front panel, each button has 3 short plastic posts, 2 on one side and 1 on the other. The center part moves to push a longer piece that contacts the circuit board. When I push the top of a front stadium-shaped button, the center plastic piece moves too far, touches the short post, and sticks (maybe due to age). When I push the bottom of the front button, the plastic piece goes far enough to contact the circuit board and not far enough to touch the short post. To prevent a stuck button, we now press the bottom of the front buttons. So far so good. If it happens again, I plan to shave or file a little bit off the top edge of the post to give it more clearance. 1st photo: pencil points to stuck parts. 2nd photo: unstuck parts, 3rd photo: the front of our dryer.
The error code E68 means a key or button is stuck. Check the buttons by pressing them one at a time to find the stuck one or enter the service diagnostic mode then the key function test. Click on the link below for the detailed instructions.
I have the Frigidaire Affinity Washer and Dryer. A few weeks ago my Washer door switch went out I changes that with no problem. Now the Dryer has just stop quit working. Here are the symptoms on the ; 1>it's plug up and the power is fine 2> there is no errors on the panel 3> control operate fine. 4> close the door, set the controls, press start, No spinning. 5> when you press start you hear a buzzing sound for about 5 seconds, then nothing... Is it over for the dryer I bought 3 years with out extended warranty, or is the a simple fix? Thanks, Rob...
you have a problem with the heat you can't just say it's the element or thermistor you have to unplug it,take it apart and get in there with a meter and check all the t-stats,element thermistor,if they check good you could have a bad computer board but hopefully it will be the element but if you just bought it the dryer is still under warranty for the first year so either call whoever you bought it from or the 800 number off of the machine
