Have you had any luck with this? Ours just started doing this tonight after no problems (had it for 3 years, light use). "Feels like" a pump isn't kicking in to pump the water to the arm.

SOURCE: Our Haier HDC1804TW counter-top dishwasher

Since mine does the very same thing, it's my guess that is the sterilising cycle as by this point it has already washed, done a short fill to remove any remaining detergent, and two rinses. I'm also assuming the second short fill is just to cover the heating element and/or to to generate an amount of steam having being heated by the element (I'm basing that assumption on the heat of the dishes at the end of end of the cycle and the heat of the water when it drains)

I just got a used haier hdc1804tw countertop dishwasher. It had no instructions but she said just hook it up plug it in turn the water on and push start. I did that it started then stopped but won't stop...

Make sure your drain hose is in the sink and the door is completely shut, also check to make sure a dish or fork is not obstructing the spinner jet.

Dishwasher wont fill up with water

When you start the dishwasher you have probably noticed that it first drains water and is very important to hear that drain pump running all the time or stops after a while? Why?
If the drain pump runs constantly then the fault is in the phase of "drain water" or is activated anti-flood system. Reset point of pressostat is not reached after max. 120secs. Programme stop and can be continued after error remedy by pressing the programme key.

If the pump is running for a while and then stops, then the fault is in phase "fill up water". Switchpoint of pressostat is not reached
after max. 60 secs.

Usually built-in dishwashers has anti-flood system that responds in the event of water in the bottom of the dishwasher. Such a case, find and repair water leaks.

Haier dishwasher did not pump out

I had problem like this...one day the washer stopped, still half-full of water. Then, we tried to run again and we could hear the little engine working but it wouldn't let water in OR out, just error beaps.
Then my boyfriend took off the back and gently tapped the water inlet valve solenoid with his screwdriver, and now it works! Starting FILLING actually, not draining, but completed a full cycle finally!
Must have shaken loose a blockage in the mechanics in that solenoid, probably have to replace before long. But for now, success!
Here is a website that helps: http://www.searspartsdirect.com/Haier/dishwasher/model-Esd301-repair/categories/dishwasher-repair/symptom/dish004.html

Wont fill. No current to fill switch or solenoid at anytime in cycle. Unit goes through cycle with all other components functioning as if unit was filled.

It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors or feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET/PUMP MOTOR/DRAIN to work when it is commanded .If this does not happen then the voltage at these points must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage/drive from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect.

In this case as there is no voltage from the controller it must be checked.

Check how to remove the control panel: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/dishwashers/a/3/1287/how-to-replace-a-hotpoint-dishwasher-fascia-p.html

If the water flows then the flow should be good, if not the inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the inlet of the water line. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor. The water pressure must be good and the spraying must be seen to be good. If there is low pumping or pressure then the spray arms will not turn around to inject with pressure. If so the pump must be checked for clogging.

To replace check this link:

http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/dishwashers/a/3/1293/how-to-replace-the-spraying-system-on-a-dishw.html

Finally after the wash the drain valve will be activated, the water is allowed to come in to rinse and then finally the drain valve/pump activated so as to drain off all the water.

Make sure that a fault in any of the cycle will relate to the specified action, so check the command from the program module and then the executing device be it the valve or motor or pump.

Haier HDN655E - water does not drain out of hose

Dishwasher adp 4601 when switched on the pump activates.and after 2 mins start lamp bliks and pump goes off

The number of flashes indicates the fault. Reset machine by holding down the start button for 3 secs, then start a new cycle. If fault reoccurs, the number of flashes indicates fault eg 3 flashes, stop, 3 flashes stop, indicates F3 fault.
Faults listed below- advice on repair depends on which fault your machine is indicating, but may give you an idea of what to look for
1flash=NTC (temperature sensor) break- NTC outside normal range.
2flash=water leakage-float switch in base activated.
3flash=heating fault(check element.NTC,control board).
4flash=drain error-blockage in pump or drain system,or faulty water indicator switch.
6flash=water inlet fault-check inlet valve, check inlet hose not kinked
7flash=flow meter failure (flow meter measures water intake volume-large plastic weir located on left hand side of machine-reomve side panel to access)
These a most common faults, but further advice on repair requires counting flashes when fault occurs.
