One of the risks you take when modifying the apple iphone, bricking the phone and voiding your warranty. Have you tried disconnecting the iphone, restarting computer and trying the restore again?

My iPhone after installing iOS 9.0.2 became sluggish and would not let me download anything from the AppStore

have you tried restoring it through itunes by holding down the home button as you insert the usb into the phone? make sure itunes is running on pc and usb is connected to computer.. then hold down home button as u insert usb into phone. a window should come up on screen saying phone needs restoring and updating. you will lose everything on phone unless you have already backed it up to computer and or icloud. once uve restored it, u can then resxore backup. also works if you need to bypass passcode..

Why am i getting error (4013) when i try to restore my iphone

The first thing you try should be change the USB port to which you connect the iPhone. Next up, change the cable that you use. Arguably, this has worked not for everyone but for a few people.
As an extreme measure, you can also try updating from some other computer which has the latest iTunes installed.
Backing Up and Going Into Recovery Mode
If you are trying to update the firmware without doing a clean restore but running into this error (even after changing the cables), it's time to cut the chase. This method is usually recommended as the last-thing-to-try but I think it's easier to get this done with right away.
  • Connect your iPhone to the computer. Fire up iTunes.
  • Backup your iPhone.
  • Now disconnect the iPhone, quit iTunes.
  • Put the iPhone in recovery mode. The short version goes like this: press and hold power and home buttons till the screen goes blank.
  • Open iTunes on PC.
  • Connect the iPhone. iTunes should indicate (through a dialog box) that an iPhone is detected in recovery mode.
  • Now go ahead and restore the device as new. This will erase everything but you will have the backup to restore from.
Some Notes
  • Occasionally, the error seems to vanish when people update to the last iOS 6.x version and then update to iOS 7. (This applies when you are on iOS 6.0, 6.1).
  • Clear out apps and app memory to free up space on your iPhone. Although this sounds very unrelated to this error, it has helped.

My apple iphone16gb i lost the passcode and now this is only for emargency calls only i tunes couldn't be connected plz help me to unlock it

Hi, you will need to restore you phone but because itunes isnt seeing your phone you'll need to turn it off and hold down the home button for around 10secs and connect to itunes and release then itunes will bring up a message saying the phone has been found in recovery mode, from there continue with restore (follow from step 6 below)

Use the following steps to restore your iPhone.

***** IF YOU CANT SEE YOU IPHONE IN ITUNES OR IT IS STUCK AT THE APPLE LOGO - POWER DOWN YOUR PHONE - HOLD DOWN THE HOME BUTTON FOR AROUND 10SECS WHILST CONNECTING TO ITUNES - RELEASE BUTTON - ITUNES WILL THEN APPEAR WITH MESSAGE SAYING IT HAS DETECTED IPHONE IN RECOVERY MODE & CONTINUE TO RESTORE YOUR PHONE - FOLLOW FROM STEP 6! ) *****
  1. Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed and running before attempting to update.
  2. Connect your device to your computer.
  3. Select your iPhone when it appears in iTunes under Devices.
  4. Select the Summary tab.
  5. Select the Restore option.
  6. When prompted to back up your settings before restoring, select the Back Up option. If you have just backed up the device, it is not necessary to create another.

  7. Select the Restore option when iTunes prompts you (as long as you've backed up your device, you should not have to worry about restoring your phone).

  8. Once the restore process has completed, the device restarts and displays the Apple logo while starting up:

After a restore, the iPhone displays the "Connect to iTunes" screen. Keep your device connected until the "Connect to iTunes" screen goes away or you see "iPhone is activated." If iTunes does not have an Internet connection, you cannot complete this step.

  9. The final step is to restore your device from a previous backup. Once your device is restored and-in the case of the iPhone-in the process of activating, you should be able to see the following in iTunes:

Select the backup you want for your device and select the Continue button to complete your device's restoration.
If you do not want to restore from backup, select "Set up as new...

I just cleared my iphone. It wont boot to the screen where it says to connect to itunes. it starts up with the apple logo, then shows that rotateing thing over the apple logo, then it stops rotateing, and...

To resolve this issue, you will need to restore your iPhone to factory settings This means any data (music, movies, contacts, etc.) will be erased and the iPhone brought back to it's factory settings (like the day you got it).
To do this, follow the steps below:
1. Make sure your iPhone is disconnected and powered off. If it's not already, hold down the power button until the "Slide to Power Off" message is displayed and swipe to turn off.
2. Connect the USB end of the data cable to your computer, do not connect the other end just yet.
3. Connect the other end of the data cable to the iPhone and immediately press down & hold the "Home" button.
4. Continue to hold down "Home" button , until the iTunes logo appears and the USB connection is displayed on the iPhone's screen.
5. Open iTunes (if it hasn't opened automatically) and a message stating that it has found an iPhone that is in recovery mode. (If you don't get this message and the iPhone just boots like normal, then the timing between connecting the iPhone and holding the home button wasn't fast enough. Try again from step #1).
6. Click the "Restore" button and iTunes will automatically download and install the latest iOS version for your iPhone.
The process should take about 20-45 mins, depending on your internet connection. Once complete, the iPhone will reboot and will be restored to factory settings.
Since iTunes requires that all data be synced through there, if you have made any backups to your iPhone, you'll be able to re-sync your information back to your iPhone at this time.
