To change the language on the Dell 922's display, turn on the printer, then press and hold the Power and Cancel buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds. The language choices will then scroll across the LCD press the up or down arrow key till english appears, then click Menu.

I've had my Dell 922 for 3 years (got it free at that time) and the settings have been in Spanish that entire time because the previous owner nor I never figured out how to change it to English. I just wanted to thank you for your tip!! I've been battling with a company regarding non Dell remanufactured ink cartridges not being recognized and they refuse to help me until I could tell them the exact error messages I was receiving. I'll probably just toss the generic print cartridges (only paid $14 total for both combined) and go back to Dell original ink cartridges since I don't use the printer that much and I know they work! Just very pleased you had posted your solution for the language!

Some keys on my Dell D610 have swapped their functionality when the shift key is pressed - @ and " in particular. Can I swap them back?

Go into Control Panel, Regional and Language Options, Languages Tab, Details Button, Change Default Input Language to English - US, and remove any Keyboards listed that are not English US. Most likely you have set a French Input as a default. Once chnages are made, log out of Windows and log back in.

Printer

Try this solution: press Power and Cancel buttons and hold them both for about 10-15 seconds - - then "Language Options" scrolls across the screen and one can select using the Menu button. We're now able to read messages in English!
