Is the printer a photosmart c5550? That will make a difference in your ability to find drivers. If you have a c5550, there are drivers if you search on HP.com for your drivers. You will also need to know your operating system to narrow down the drivers you should download.
Check if the printer can still be detected in your control panel (control panel -> printers). Check when you point at it if it says "ready". If it is not, inspect the cables and try a different port on you computer. If it says ready and you still could not print, see if uninstalling it and reinstalling it works. If that does not solve it, have it tested on another computer. Should it still not work, your printer may have gone bad.
try to make a copy ...if success
try to disconnect the power cable from the back of the printer and reconnect it after 20 seconds
try to print from the notepad ...............if success great
uninstall the printer from the computer and reinstall the printer as a fresh
it should work and it has worked in most of the issues ................. thank you
Try removing your 926 icon in Printers and Faxes, disconnect the USB cable, restart your computer, reconnect the USB cable, see the 926 and install the driver again. If scan has never worked, you probably need a different driver.
Look in driver and see if the paper size is set to a different size. It could be that the driver says you want Letter size prints but you have A4 in the tray.
The problem is most likely a driver setting that is set differently to what you need.
Another option is to check that the paper feed guide is pushed up properly. If it is set too wide the machine may think it has a different sized paper in it.
