CD BURNER NEED TO BE CLEANED BUT YOU CANT TAKE IT OUT

Cd burner needs cleaning on my dimension 5150

What do you mean it needs to be cleaned? As in someone spilled something on it and now its not working or you think it's full of dust on the laser and its not reading anything anymore?

Go to computer store and get a CD or DVD cleaner disc. and a can of compressed air.
open the CD buner door and use the compress air, then insert the Disc and let it run few times.

Drive won't recognize any DVD media

its possible that the laser has went out..

It may just need to be cleaned.. try running a Dvd Cleaning disk through it about 5 times.. Then see if the performance improves any!

well if u have a dvd burner or a dvd writer installed on ur computer

then u will need to install softwares like NERO or ROXIO on ur computer

first chk, i thnk it mite be already installed on ur computer.

use them and u will be able to burn DVD's

Try to use cd cleaner to clean the lens, if this doesnot work, this means your lens is died, change the DVD Rom.

I dnt have a cd or dvd burner on my computer i just want 2 install one 4 free off the internet but cant find 1

I don't think you will be able to get one for free, but you should be able to pick up a CD burner very cheap, most drives these days are a CD/DVD burner.
Other choices are Car boot's or xchange shops.
You will also require some software like Nero to use the new drive.

Dell dimension 2400 cd/dvd burner lost cant burn any cds and i cant find it in my programs i might have deleted by mistake

well if you are sure that you have a DVD writer than you can use windows burner to burn the dvd

Here are the steps:

Select the files you want to burn and right click on them and then click on

Send to/Cd dvd

and than go to your cd drive and click on Write these files to the cd.

And you can also download a free burning software, You can easily get lot's of burnning software online for free if you will google it.

Dell dvd burner does not recognize media

sir, try using NERO software and make sure that your cd-r or dvd-r has no scratch and it should be new. hope that helps!
