Question about Ricoh Aficio SP C820DN Laser Printer

1 Answer

Ricoh aficio sp c820dn- When printing, there is a thin faded line in cyan that goes across horizontally about 1/3 of the way up from the bottom of the page. I cleaned the drum--no difference. I then purchased and replace the Cyan drum unit, and the line is still there.

I replaced the yellow and magenta drum units as well as the cyan where the problem of a line was occurring. This solved the problem--the line was gone. Seems I needed to replace all three color drum units to solve the problem of the faded line.

Transfer belt cleaning unit. The transfer unit is above the drums and the cleaner is on the left side. Remove it and I would bet you see a similar band as what your seeing on your prints. You can try wiping of the cleaning blade in the unit or you may have to replace it.

SOURCE: I have a new Ricoh C820DN printer. Did about 12k

Hi,

According to your problem, first check the cyan tonner is not get damp. Clean the cartridges and make sure that the cartridges are installed properly. Check the paper tray installed correctly and it pull the paper properly. Finally check your paper status like the papers which you use print are not damp, wet or curl. Use to try another new good quality paper.

SOURCE: Ricoh Aficio 3800C: How do

Remove the dev unit from the machine and carefully rotate the rollers using the cogs at the end. This should help to dislodge any clumps of toner/developer which may have formed. A soft brush might help, yes, but don't vacuum as this would remove much of the essential developer (a magnetic powder) from the unit. If the problem returns after clearing, then the dev unit is probably in need of replacement.

I have ricoh sp c820dn printer here is message say turn power off then set the pcu correctly .cyan

it looks like the Cyan Unit is not set correctly, so you need to open the front door, in the area behind the front door up you will see the toner bottles under the bottles it has a cream-white plate, you will see in the middle of the plate one handle - leveler which is blocked with a plastic piece, which have a ***** in the middle remove the ***** than remove the plastic piece, after that pull the handle - leveler up to be set from horizontal position into 45 degrees angle upwards. After that in the upper right corner of the plate you will see another handle- leveler. This one you need to set from horizontal position into vertical position upwards. After you move the both leveler, you will need to pull the hole cream-white plate toward you. Inside you will see 4 boxes (PCU's) with green levelers. Put inside firmly the cyan box (PCU) under the Cyan box, below the box writes on a sticker Cyan.. After you do this close back the creame-white plate, put the both levelers into horizontal position and close the the front door. If the problem persist than is not just a small fix...That is for now, if the problem continues please ask more guestions. Good Luck. :)

Aficio SP C411DN does not print cyan

Well, since you've tried everything, my recommendation is to try to clean the contacts with dry cloth in the left or right side inside the printer where the cartridges place in. see the result

There are streaks on the side of the printed page

Hi,

Are the Streak lines vertical or horizontal ? Most likely it could be due to Toner issue, Try to remove the toner and clean it and re-install it

My Ricoh Aficio CL2000N is printing several faint lines

Couple possibilities:
Fuser hot belt has wear lines transfering to the page
Black pcu needs to be replaced
Transfer unit is not being cleaned properly and needs to be replaced.
Remove each of these assy and inspect them for wear or lines that corespond to the lines on your prints.
