Possibly check to see if airplane mode is on. Also try turning the volume up all the way, I know some phones have an issue where turning the volume down all the way turns off vibrate. Hope this helps alittle
Airplane Mode (Motorola CLIQ™ with MOTOBLUR™) NOTE: Airplane mode turns off the wireless radio. This allows you to use programs while travelling on an airplane, but not make or receive calls. An Airplane icon appears on top of the signal bar when airplane mode is active. To turn Airplane mode on or off, refer to the following: ---------------------------------------
Using the Lock key
To use the Lock key to turn off Airplane mode, perform the following steps: 1. At the Home screen, press and hold the Power/Lock key on the right side of your phone.
2. At Airplane mode, tap On or Off.
Using the Settings menu
To turn the Airplane mode on or off using the Settings menu, perform the following steps: 1. At the Home screen, press the Menu key.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Wireless controls.
4. Tap Airplane mode to turn on or off.
I'd have to know the phone model for this. However, this may work. With the phone on and ready to make a call, hold down a number key, 1 through 9. You should have phone numbers programmed into them. Hold down for about 3 seconds. The phone should advise that you are in airplane mode and do you want to turn on transmitters. Say yes and that's it. If you have a Nextel phone, you may have accidently held the "power on" button too long. That will cause the phone to come on in airplane mode.
Enable Airplane Mode on your iPhone by choosing Settings, then turn airplane mode off. This will disable the ability to: Make phone calls Send or receive email Browse the Internet Send or receive text messages Stream YouTube videos Get stock quotes Get maps locations Get weather reports When in airplane mode you can still: Listen to music and watch video Listen to visual voicemail Check your calendar Take or view pictures Hear alarms Use the stopwatch or timer Use the calculator Take notes Read text messages and email messages already stored If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it. Thanks, Joe
My phone once resisted the bottom "unlock" slider for about 10 seconds. I think I just waited and tried again and it worked. If that doesn't work for you, run the battery down all the way.
Besides, once the iPhone boots up, it should go straight to the home screen, right? Not to the "locked" screen with the slider and wallpaper.
