Don't know how to re start Frankling Spelling Ace Model SA206S

After changing the batteries the Franklin Spelling Ace will not re-start. I notice there is a reset hole on the back. The screen is completely black.
How do I do this? Thanks

I have another problem now. The letters scrolling across the screen are partially missing so that the words are hard to read. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Straighten out a small paper clip and use that wire to push on the reset button.

I have a franklin sa-309 and I do not now how to remove the red tag on the right side.

The red tag is most likely the end of a cloth strap used to help the user remove the (2) AAA batteries
from the Franklin SA309 Spelling Ace Pro & Puzzle Solver. To store the red tag back inside the
uit, you'll need a #1 phillips screwdriver (the "regular" size phillips screwdriver is a #2, so the #1 is
a bit smaller).
To access the batery compartment, turn the unit over, and unscrew the screw holding the
battery compartment closed. Then push the red tag inside (flattened to the batteries), and
re-install the battery cover screw.

Here's the 24-page online users manual for your device (PDF file):
http://www.franklin.com/manuals/sa-309.pdf

Consult pages 4-5 for battery replacement.

The on off switch in my Franklin Wordmaster only works intermittently. I would like to clean the contact that this makes work but cannot take the device apart. I have removed the 2 screws in the rear but...

take a sharp cutter blade and try to separate the two two from the joint ...u have to put a bit effort as there are plastic locks to hold the two together
