JUST PURCHASED THE NEW SAMSUNG G600 MOBILE PHONE. HOWEVER THE SOFTWARE DOES NOT WORK WITH WINDOWS VISTA. I HAVE DOWN LOADED THE SOFTWARE, BUT IT CANT FIND THE PHONE WHEN I CONNECT IT TO MY PC.
What you have to do to put files on your computer or take them from your computer onto your phone is: go onto settings, onto phone settings, onto USB settings and chage it to either mass storage (if you want to put pictures, music and videos on) or media player (to just transfer music). Then plug in the USB cable that came with your phone into your computer/laptop and follow the instructions from there.
NOTE: This only works with the Sampsung G600
If mass Storage or media player doesn't work then unplug the usb cable form your phone and then try it.
Then plug your phone in again and it should work.
I had the problem that I could not load the pictures I took with my phone (Samsung g600) into my PC.
I fixed it like this:
(unplug phone from PC)
1. Install driver for the Mass Storage option on your PC, so you can acces the memory card from your PC.
2. Your phone, when it takes a picture, saves it onto it self. Because of some reason (probably Vista), you cannot acces it.
So the obvious solution is, make your phone save the taken picture onto the memory card instead. You do this like so:
-Menu > Settings > Memory Settings > Default Memory.
Here you can see a list of options.
Choose Camera (and camcorder if you want acces to your video's), and then select the Memory Card option.
Now plug the Samsung g600 into your PC, use the Mass Storage option, open the drive that pops up and click on the 'images' folder. Here you will find your photo's. ('Video's' folder for your video's).

I havent got vista, but it still doesnt work and when i click USB settings, media and mass storage are greyed out.. help??
If you are having problems with g600 hardware, do not reboot phone as suggested on some websites this will void your samsung warranty and is very much a legal thing with them
If you want an easy way out with the silly samsung studio 3, then buy a card reader [About £10].
On your samsung G600 transfer things to the memory card, take memory card out -put it in memory card adaptor supplied with G600. Then put memory card adaptor in your card reader and info is put on your computer via USB lead.
This solves part of the problem.

If you are unable to get your handset detected while using the windows vista, the reason behind that may be the version of ur easy studio may not be compatible with the os which u r using ,in that case u have to update version of ur easy studio.
You need to sync the phone to the computer using specific samsung driver software. This can be found at the samsung website. once you download the driver software the computer will recognise the software inside the phone.
The images,music and videos in memory card cannot be seen in the phone but when I connect it to PC it can be seen. How do I solve this problem??

I have an old PC running W2000 and I noticed that I could run SPCS3 with no problem just after restarting PC. Like this it ALWAYS work.
So I think that this is a memory error message. Try to close every window and not necessary background software.

Im having the same prob. when i got the phone the disc is for xp now i got vista. The phone dosnt register at all, and ive tried downloading from site but the drivers wond download.
Once I disconnected my phone and set it to usb storage device, then I switched it back to samsung pc studio, it started working again!
I have had all of above problems! New vista update from sAMSUNG PC STUDIO works with service pack 1 installed. If Studio reports task being undertaken, unplug phone switch of and on again and plug in again. It works for me!

1. Install disc (DO NOT CONNECT PHONE TO PC JUST YET)
2. On your G600, go to 'Settings', 'Phone Settings', 'USB Settins', 'Mass Storage'
3. Connect your G600 to your PC
4. Go to My Computer, Removable Disc
There you go, drop and drag your files!

2 OTA type setting
3 Serial test
4 TFS reset
select 3 serial test
and this comes up
1 PPP UP
2 Serial download
3 Run TCK
Select 2 Serial download
The phone will reboot and once its rebooted connect usb cable and pc studio will work.
I have Vista too and its very confusing ..... I find diffrent problems everyday but i think if you want any songs or pictures on your phone is trying to get it off freinds by via bluetooth.

open with mediaplayer and a new harddrive

I bought a usb lead lead for my g600 with the installation cd but all though it's saying that the installation is complete the computer which is windows xp says that nothing has installed and i can't connect my phone to the pc. Please help I really need the software.
if u can add a memory card to your phone then do as your pc will see this as a mass storage device so u can move phone stuff to pc n pc stuff to phone via your memory card, no software needed.

what i did was go on setting then take the usb cable out of my mobile phone then went to setting then on usb it has about five different options to choose ndi clicked on windows media then re-insreted the usb cable then a picture appeared on my phone sayin phone connected with pc

I have exactly the same problem and when you take it back to the sellers, they claim ignorance which really pisses me off. Where is the accountability in this country. Does anyone actually know how to get in touch with Samsung UK to sort the problem out. I am going to be switching phones as a result to the new iPhone. I've had it with mediocrity.
I fixed the problem by going to a system restore point before installing the samsung suite. Change the settings/phone settings/usb settings to mass storage then just use the usb cable to connect the phone to the pc.
I think my pc won't install the usb driver and then I can't sync etc. The mass storage solution helps with regards pictures music etc, but I need to be able to sync, also, I need my contacts (which I had saved in *.csv, *.pbf, *.txt file formats from my D820).
I downloaded the newest PC Studio, but same problem. PLEASE help!

I am having the same prob as everyone else it seems with PC studio not working! My phone connects but when I hit 'to phone' to transfer files i get 'unknown error', 'system is busy performing another operation, try again later' or the whole thing freezes.
I am not bothered about using the software, I just want some music on my phone! Have seen the posts about dragging an dropping files which is what I did with my own phone. Problem is I can't select mass storage though on my usb options - it won't let me!
Is this because I haven't got a memory card? Is there any way around this it's driving me mad and t-mobile are hardly being at all helpful - solution is send it off for repair - like thats going to help!!!

It started to work, but now it connects and when I try sending information down the line it times out and says to disconnect the phone and reconnect it, then still doesn't work.

The drop and drag solution will not work with video files. You can put them on the SD card but the phone will not read them and PC studio will not work with Vista. Has anyone managed to put a downloaded video on this phone?
