Try disconnecting all of your HDMI cables and plugging the power cord of the TV into another wall outlet. If this resolves the issue, you may have had a small power surge from either your wall outlet or one of your source devices. It is recommended to connect your TV to a surge protector if you haven't done so already.

Call Panasonic 800 number, and they'll fix it for you. I just had mine done too. It is a manufacturing problem and they'll do it for free. Get your serial number ready, and date of purchase, they'll ask you those questions. Mention the Eprom problem and that you read it here! Good luck.

PT-53TW53 53 in. Rear Projection has sound but no picture

It is. And I hope you some cash set aside for this extremely costly repair.
I once had a rear projection TV and was told by the repairman that each of the 3 flourescent lamps run about $200.00 to replace.
Needless to say I did not get it fixed
