Go into the menu and look for Screen Convergence. It may also have an auto convergance option try that first. If it gives a suto error or you cant adjust it manually the convergance IC's may be bad or a component on the convergance board.

I Have a major convergence problem. It is a 55 inch Toshiba ColorStream Projection TV(tp55h95). It was fine until we moved it into the other room, and now it's like the color is bending at both sides of...

Color arching.... Ahhh Yeah they eventually do that after a few years. Good news is all you need is a screw driver and some of your time and patience.

The color gun is a small box with 3 screws on it. (Blue, Red and Green. Turning the screws (Slightly) on the gun will get rid of the color arching. I had blue arching on a sony 65" Rear projection a year later it was red arching if you leave it long enough it will be arching and in and out flashing of solid color. Whole mind trip you don't want to venture on.......

The box on my sony was in the very front of the tv. I removed the front speaker panels and accessed it very easily. The hardest part is getting the front panel off. Yours may be in the back.

With the set on press MUTE on the remote.

Then press and HOLD mute for several seconds and while still holding it on the remote press Menu on the front of the set.

A (S) should appear in the upper right corner of the screen. (It means you are in the Service mode)

Press menu again on the front of the set

7 on the remote will call up the convergence grid

3 on the remote will change the color to adjust from red to green to blue(do not adjust GREEN)

You navigate the grid with 2, 4, 6, and 8 buttons.

To stop the cursor from blinking so you can adjust at any point use the 5 button—to move again use the 5 button.

When you finish you exit by hitting 7 on the remote again.

Sometimes you have to try a few times to get into the menu—I have had my problems but once in it is easy.

if adjusting does not cure the problem one of the convergence chips this set uses and or a resistor are bad.

My Sony Projection TV middle of the screen curves down on top and curves up on bottom. Picture looks dubble like 3D, screen looks like concaved. Left side of the screen color is light green and blue, right...

This is a very common failure on Projection sets. Its called a convergence problem.
You may have one or more of the following symptoms.
Screen looks 3D
Colors don't line up
One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
Screen is bowed or warped.
No Audio / No Video - Makes Chirping Sounds

I have a KP-65WV700 and the screen looks a lil to green

OK, I'm the guy that was having the same problem, but had a blue tint to the screen. I also had blue lines running across the screen, and when I followed the steps below that were posted by another user not only did the lines disappear, but the blue haze vanished as well. My tv looks like it's new again, so you may want to try this:

I have fixed this several times on my KP 65WV700

As Slinteriors posted if it is a thin curved line you need to adjust the screen control, it's sorta like a brightness for each color, and if one color is too high it will produce a thin curved line.

The best way I have found to get to the controls is by removing the lower grey speaker cover front the front of the TV. There are 6 screws if i remember, 3 on each side. Then it snaps off, seems like its going to break but you have to pop it off pretty good.

Once its loose you have to remove a cardboard like cover plate in the center that will give you access to the small controller board.

Now be very careful while experimenting on which knob controls which colors. Turn them very slow, if you turn to fast you will cause your TV to shut down. If this happens, turn the adjustment back to original spot and turn TV back on and take it slow.

Adjust the correct color until the line just goes away. Its easiest to do this with a black screen.

Sony kp-65wv700

I followed GuestUser/ Slinteriors advice and I fixed it. Open the front of the TV and there are 6 little nobs in the front. The botton 3 are what you need to adjust. from left to right the color controls are BLUE, RED GREEN. For the blue lines, slightly (I really mean very slightly) turn the botton left nob clockwise (right).

on blue convergence IC.Replace both IC's for durable repair.

Re Degaussing

Now Degaussing and convergence are two different things, if you say its degaussing then you should have just a color differential in a certain area, meaning the color should not be arched, everything that passes through should pass throu only with the changing of color. Now if its a convergence the the color may lift upward in an arch, likely separated from the other colors, Red, Blue,or Green. So now which do you think you have? Deguassing usually give you a highish green color or yellow
