How do i get the remote to advance my slides with the benq ms502/mx503

Make sure that you connect a cable (usually the USB cable is supplied with the projector ) from the computer to the projector. Once communication is established, normal PPT slide advancing is done by pressing the up/down arrow keys (depending on the remote control layout)

Don, Does the projector still cycle from the side (on-board projector) buttons?? If it does, then you have a bad remote (parts are still available from: www.micro-tools.com). If it will not cycle from either the remote or the side buttons, then chances are that you have a broken solenoid link. If you are not familar with the projector & proper disassembly, I'd contact a dealer. Again, you can still get the necessary parts from micro-tools. Good Luck !!

There IS a prism device that diverts light from below up and through the
film/slide. I've heard no good reviews of these, though. Quality seems to
be quite poor.
There does not seem to be a manual on the Benq website maybe go there and request one by email.

When a source is connected it is to move the sequence like moving on a slide show manually or moving the slides on a PDF presentation.

I had exactly the same problem, no code could be found. I solved this problem by bying a: "One for All" remote, which is a learning remote. By following the instructions, (which are easy), you place the original BenQ TV remote face to face with the One for All remote, and you can transfer all the necessary buttons to this All for One remote. You can also control all your other remotes.

you need an infrared receiver that plugs into your laptop to receive the signal ...honestly they arn't very reliable...go buy a targus presentation remote at staples for 39-69 bucks if you want areceiver i think i have one left

A universal remote would do the job , as long as you make sure that the Universal Remote can learn IR codes which it uses to control the Projector.

You'll see that the Projector came with a USB cable. The USB cable should be connected from your PC to your Projector and this will enable you to flick through your slides with the normal BenQ remote control.
