NO POWER Hello, My Tv will not turn on completely. I took it apart and the fuse is still good and I can't find any discoloration in the circut board and the wires are good to go. There is no sound and no picture so I was thinking it has to do with power supply. If you can help me out, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, John

If the unit turns on then off quickly or there is a squeeling noise from the power supply (usually faint but noticable) there is a short and the switching powersupply is shutting on and off rapidly. Usually on RCA's the Horizontal output transistor and flyback go out on this model alot.

Surge outage tv not coming on

Quite possibly just blew TV fuse, but may have more damage, usually to the power supply circuit.
Unplug TV & remove back & do a visual inspection of all PCBs & wiring. your looking for physical damage, traces of arcing, parts blown apart or damaged/discolored.

I have a 42" sanyo plasma flat panel tv. I was watching, and all of a sudden the screen went black. I did still have sound. I messed with the remote for a few minutes...then heard a pop...then tv was...

hello, you have a (shutdown circut) it happens when the tv senses trouble in the circut.
becuase these type of tv's run hot at high internal voltages parts can become overheated and loose proper resistance or ability to handle voltages that have to reach other parts of the circut and other internal board panels. a shutdown it is for protection. you may want to check your power supply if there was a pop that is something inside that went bad. be careful to touching inside theres is high voltages stored in the components.
i can not tell you specifically what your primary cuase was without your model service manual. no power means power supply trouble.
replace or trace.
what ever blew out cuased the power supply to go bad you will need a service manual to know for sure.
the wise chioce is to have a service center check it for you they will know what to repair or exchange.

good luck hope this helps

Power won't stay on

hello. you are not alone, this is a common problem with alot of new lcd and plasma tv's since they operate with high internal voltages the circuts have built in protection. any slight power fualt or short in the circut will cuase a sos or shutdown. may be a number of different reasons or even a shorted fuse.
it needs to be checked you have a power issue.
some models if there is a blinking led the number of blinks indicates the fualty area.
your tv needs service.

hope this helps

Totally dead. Vizio GV42L

If the circuit breaker was tripped, more likely the fuse inside the TV power supply might also be blown. If that is the case there might be a short circuit in the power supply components, more likely on a diode or transistor/mosfet.
Contact these website to see if they have the parts for your plasma.
Good Luck.

RCA P60752EB Power problem

Apparently, blown fuses indicate problems elsewhere in the circuit. The block is a voltage dropping resistor, has nothing to do with problem. If you think it's worth it, take to pro/tech
