Self-clean turns off after 5 minutes with F2 error message

The self clean feature of my Thermador built-in oven, model sc301, turns off after about 5 minutes with an F2 error message. I have not used the self-clean in a few years - I don't bake too often.

Hi MaryB,

F2 error code means that the oven temperature is too hot. You will have to replace relay board if faulty. Check and replace oven temperature sensor (RTD). If failure repeats, replace ERC (electronic range control or clock). For replacement part you may contact Sears at 1-800-252-1698; M-F 6:30 AM-10:30 PM - Sat 7:00 AM-9:30 PM - Sun 7:30 AM-9:30 PM - All times Central.

Hope this helps.

I have a Thermador CM302BS oven and it will beep just once about every 30 minutes. No lights are on or anything?

If your Thermador CM302BS oven is beeping once every 30 minutes without any visible indication on the control panel, it's possible that the oven is experiencing an error or malfunction that is not being properly displayed. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the owner's manual: Consult the oven's owner's manual to see if there are any troubleshooting tips related to the beeping issue. Look for any error codes or messages that may be related to the beeping.
  2. Reset the oven: Try resetting the oven by turning off the circuit breaker that powers it, waiting a few minutes, and then turning the circuit breaker back on. This can sometimes clear up temporary issues with the oven's electronics.
  3. Check the oven's self-diagnostic system: The Thermador CM302BS oven has a self-diagnostic system that can be accessed by pressing a series of buttons on the control panel. Consult the owner's manual to see how to access the self-diagnostic system and check for any error codes or messages.
  4. Contact a repair technician: If you are unable to resolve the issue using the above steps, it's possible that there is a more serious issue with the oven's electronics that requires the attention of a qualified repair technician. Contact Thermador customer support or a local appliance repair service to schedule a service call.
It's important to address any issues with your oven promptly to ensure that it is operating safely and efficiently.

I have a Thermador Model SC301TP wall oven. When I try to Self Clean I get error F2 which I think is that it is a tempature issue. What should I do?

either the oven sensor is bad or see if the pins where it connects on the relay board have bad solder joints. re-solder first, then replace if needed.

We set our wall oven for self-clean and received an error message after about 4 hours that told us to turn off the circuit breaker. We are unable to turn the circuit breaker back on again.

Hi,
If you cannot turn the breaker back on then it is no good...some breakers do take some very firm effort to get them to come on...but the oven may have ruined the circuit breaker...

What is error code F34 on the thermadore built in double oven

If your Thermador was manufactured between 2004 and 2007, this may be due to a recall issue. I kept getting this error on my Thermador wall oven when I would run the self-cleaning feature, and when heating it over 375 degrees. After doing some research, I discovered that my oven was recalled. Apparently there are gaps in the insulation which could cause a fire.
