Spray does not soak the carpet like it used to.

replace the sprayer you can get one of those at guarantee vacuum and sewing center cheaper than any where else

Best to not put shampoo in machine. Put traffic lane cleaner in sprayer with hot water, spray onto carpet after thorough vacuuming, allow cleaner to dwell 5 to 10 minutes and clean and rinse with fresh clean water in machine. For best results do NOT put shampoo in he machine even though it was designed for it. Most of the machines brought in for repairs are clogged with soap gunk. Carpets will be cleaner and stay clean longer because the soap has been rinsed out of carpet

The solution is to throw the piece of junk out! Last week my BISSEL upright rug shampooer stopped spraying and I did all the *fixes* that I could find on the internet, short of new parts. It's in the Trash now. Today my BISSEL SpotBot stopped spraying...I've used it maybe 10 times. BISSEL makes junk, IMO.

Hello, I hope this helps you...1st, rinse out the little filter that sits in the hole where you place your "Cleaning Solution" tank. It's a small piece of felt. If this gets loaded with dirt or soap...the machine WILL NOT SPRAY. If this doesnt work and your machine is out of warranty...there is an easy fix for about $20 Unplug the unit. Remove the screw under the clean solution tank, remove that plate and remove the two screws under it...next remove the 4 screws under the "Dirty Water" tank. Lift off the top of the machine and you will see a little red pump under the "clean solution" tank area. Remove the 2 screws and clamps holding it in and replace the pump. (Just do a Google search for "SPOTBOT Pump" until you find one.) That will do it. After replacing the pump, fill the clean solution tank..check for leaks and let the unit sit overnight. The pump has to fill with solution to work...
