Well this is for time warner remote the following mode will go through each code 1 at a time until you get one that works, keep in mind that some codes will work some functions and not others so you may have to go thru this a few times to find the one that works.

The remote control can automatically search and select a set up code from the code library. Make sure your TV or VCR is powered ON before you program the remote control. Point the remote control away from your TV or VCR depending on which one you are programming.

To search for TV codes: Press and hold the TV and the SELECT buttons at the same time until the red LED on the remote blinks twice.
To search for VCR codes: Press and hold the VCR and the SELECT buttons at the same time until the red LED on the remote blinks twice.

Step 1: Using the remote control keypad, enter 991. The red LED on the remote will blink twice.

Step 2: Point the remote control toward your TV or VCR, and press the TV or VCR button, depending on which one you are programming. If the TV or VCR turns off, go to step 3. If the TV or VCR remains on, repeat step 1.

Step 3: Press the SELECT button to confirm a valid code. The remote control red LED will blink twice.

Step 4: Point the remote toward the device you programmed and power on and off to confirm proper operation.
