If you want to format your entire hard drive (and reinstall windows) You'll need to insert the appropriate windows disk. If you want to reinstall 7, insert your windows 7 disk and boot off of the disk (When booting, it should start by showing a screen that says "Press any key to boot from CD..." and you can just press a key on your keyboard. From there, follow the on screen instuctions. When you get to the drive partitioning step, select your hard drive and partition you want to format. You can delete the partition you have and make a new one if you want to totally clean the computer (WARNING: This will literally delete everything on your computer. Everything). From there you continue and finish the setup (it may run for a while). And you have a fesh new hard drive and operating system install.

SOURCE: Lenovo S series ideapad will find my dlink router no network addr

Generally if you can see the D-Link then everything is trying to talk. Would have to know if the d-link is new out of the box or is part of an existing setup. If the d-link has been part of the network I would suggest that you don't have the security settings correct. If you right click on the network icon and look at the send received numbers. If received is zero then your problem is you don't have the security key (WEP or other type)) setup. If you are getting recieved numbers you may not have the DHCP setup in the d-link. DHCP assigns the numbers to the computer but the d-link has to have this turned on in some models others it is by default.

If both your laptop and dlink are not new and specifically about a year old then I would also suspect that the dlink has died or is dieing on you. If you have had periods of disconnects or slow jerky network acess then these are signs of the dlink having problems. The wireless part tends to go after a year or so while the wired portion probably still works. When they go they are annoying as they work then they won't and so on.

That is you next step to try is to plug in your laptop direct to the wired connection on the dlink to test if the problem is the wifi portion of the dlink. If it connects your problem is the wifi and you probably will have to replace the unit. Next plug it into the cable modem and see if the problem was in the dlink itself.

SOURCE: Lenovo IdeaPad Y530 - 40512SU screen is dark

Have you installed the Lenovo EnergyCut drivers? Without it, laptop may not work properly and turns extra hot. Try letting it cool down before you try again.

SOURCE: My Lenovo ideapad z565 with Windows 7 does not

For you to perform One Key Recovery, it is done by pressing the OKR button next to power button when the computer is off..(OKR or One key recovery is a very small button usually next/ near the power button that has an inverted U-shaped arrow and usually, some models, the color is orange button)..Select "One key recovery" from the options and next, select "Restore from Initial Back up" after that, you may select "start" to perform OKR..
Just in case OKR button is no longer working, you may ask for the recovery CD's from lenovo to manually install windows.

How to format lenovo ideapad s300 in windows 7,help pls

You need a Windows 7 installation disc. Or a bootable USB thumb drive with the Windows 7 ISO on it. Hit the delete key as soon as you turn on the laptop (or whatever key needed to enter the BIOS). Change the boot order to boot off of the disc or thumb drive.

WINDOWS 8 PREVIEW INSTALLED ON LENOVO IDEAPAD AND IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY SO TRYED TO RECOVER TO WINDOWS 7 BUT NOT WROKING!!!!

You will need a separate recovery disk. Sounds like the recovery partition of your HDD got overwritten. Maybe you can create a windows WinPE (microsoft docs) and use that. This says what to do once you have a recovery disk.

Hi satyadevbujj,

Based on concern, Y510 camera driver for Windows 7 is not yet released based on Lenovo's support download site. Hence, you still can try updating the camera using the windows vista camera driver. Just go to this link.

--> after downloading, install the driver then restart your computer.

Hope it helps,
